university of Miami ABSN Summer 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello,

The application cycle for University of Miami ABSN for Summer 2017 just opened today. Wondering if anyone is applying! I will be sending my application in a few weeks. Deadline is March 1st. But its rolling admission so the earlier you apply the earlier you hear back! Good luck to everyone. Also if someone is currently a student in the ABSN program, please share your thoughts about the program to help the rest of us who are applying :)

Hey laurenest I am in the same boat. I received my canelink in January and my status still says incomplete. I emailed the school about it and they said to disregard application status as long as everything was sent to nursingcas then your application is complete.

I have looked at the curriculum of the courses already. However, I am not sure what the exact set up is, for example: what is civic? On semester 1 will there be two clinical and two courses, since there are credits on that column under clinical credits.

Then on semester two: 3 clinicals and 3 courses.

I am trying to figure out the break down of a semester for those previously in the program.

Also, has anyone heard anything about the scholarship where if they offer it to you, you have to agree to work for them for 3 years? Does anyone happen to have more information on this?

Ugh so frustrating!! I'm worried because people who applied after me got accepted :( I'm such a nervous wreck checking my canelink every day lol

Ä° was in the same boat too until I got a soul crushing decision on Friday. I was informed then that there are 450 applicants for 80 seats. It's not just who is the most qualified, it's also who is the most lucky. I wish you and everyone else the very best.

I received my acceptance on March 10 through an email! I had not checked my canelink so I was not sure if it was posted there first. Congrats to all who have been accepted! I am so excited also I have requested to be on the fb page. My name is Gina Elizabeth Berardi on there.

This may help CRam1990.

I may not understanding your question, but it may be a good idea to give their academic advisor a call for more details.

To anyone previously in the program: I was doing some research and see that the school has an exit HESI exam. Is there a required pass rate for this exam? What happens if you don't meet the passing grade?

Does the school prepare you for this exam, because I know some schools won't prepare you.

In addition to the HESI are there other high stake exams that need to be passed?

Has anyone who applied in February heard back yet?

Omg congratulations!! You found out quick!

I just declined my spot. Therefore, someone should be getting that spot, I would assume. Good luck everyone, I wish you all the best!

I called today, and they said they have not filled all their seats yet so there is still hope! I applied January

Hey all, I just applied for Spring (January) 2018. Can those who got accepted be so kind to share your stats? Like undergrad GPA, prereq GPA, experience, etc? I'm really hoping to get in! The application just opened on the 1st
