TWU Fall 2017 Nursing Applicants

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi all,

I've decided to go ahead and start this thread for those who are in the process of applying for the HIGHLY COMPETITIVE nursing program at TWU (FALL 2017) Feel free to share your STATS, questions, and good vibes as we're all here to get accepted!

I'm personally interested in the Night/weekend program since I already have a bachelor's degree and I just finished my TWU application (since TWU requires you submit a "new student" application first, then the Nursing application) I am planning on submitting my nursing application right after I hear back..

I also have not yet taken my TEAS, but am in the process of studying for it to take in a couple weeks!

How's everyone else doing?

Hey guys,

I applied to the Houston campus

Stats:

gpa:3.56

teas:

math-91.3

science-95.7

reading-80.5

english-75

overall teas score:86

no TWU preference

This makes me super nervous. Lol. Only 100 get accepted? Thought it would be a little more.

Definitely! I thought it was about 130 student that were admitted but I guess it's much less. Regardless, I wish you all the best and hope you make it!

Does anyone know when we will find out if we are accepted?

They told me (without my asking), early March.

I'm already anxious and checking my email constantly with updates! Who is on the same boat? :)

Hi everyone, My status in my TWU account is Accepted. Is it proving I was accepted into TWU?

No, It means you were accepted into the school, the program has a separate application thru NursingCAS. If you look at your unofficial transcript it will either say "Nursing Entry" or "Nursing" and then the degree title. For example, on the unoffical transcript I am currently "Nursing Entry - BSPB" if I was accepted it would say "Nursing - BSPB".

Thank you pappa22v. I am so nervous.

I have literally set up my email to update every hour to get any notification, yet I keep checking just in case I might miss something.lol.

When I talked to an advisor, they told me most likely sometime around the first week of March, but it depends on how many applicants they received. Hope we all get in! :)

Hey guys!

I applied for the Dallas Campus traditional nursing program. Just waiting (ever so patiently) for that email!

My stats are as follows:

Nursing Core GPA: 3.88

TEAS Composite Score: 84.7

Reading: 78.7

Science: 87.2

Math: 90.6

English: 83.3

I have the TWU preference points.

When I filled out the GPA spreadsheet I came out with a 63.53

Heather said that should be competitive enough to get in, so if you're close to those stats I wouldn't worry too much. (Even tho my anxiety is killing me right now lol)

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! Keep me updated :)
