Hi all,
I've decided to go ahead and start this thread for those who are in the process of applying for the HIGHLY COMPETITIVE nursing program at TWU (FALL 2017) Feel free to share your STATS, questions, and good vibes as we're all here to get accepted!
I'm personally interested in the Night/weekend program since I already have a bachelor's degree and I just finished my TWU application (since TWU requires you submit a "new student" application first, then the Nursing application) I am planning on submitting my nursing application right after I hear back..
I also have not yet taken my TEAS, but am in the process of studying for it to take in a couple weeks!
How's everyone else doing?
I went up to campus last week and was asked to turn in a CIF form and verify that I"ve in fact graduated High School. I don't think this is customary for all aid applicants but mine was randomly selected. I have a knack for being randomly selected, audited, patted down by the TSA etc, but that's beside the point.
I asked the Financial aid lady there and she said it was still early and most of that would not be in place until about March..around that time when they start deciding where funds go to.
Since you've had all your stuff done early this puts you first in line so that's something to look forward to. Also if you have time I would call the financial aid office just to double check and confirm that everything is good to go for when disbursement does happen.
Mine starts with a P and I got the e-mail earlier this morning. Applied to Dallas. I'm pretty sure everyone who applied and sent in everything correctly will get this e-mail at some point. Conversely, I'm sure if there's a problem with your app you'll also get an e-mail about it. So don't worry if you haven't gotten the e-mail yet! Like someone else said, check nursingCAS and your spam folder!

I haven't received anything from financial aid but I did receive an email that I am eligible for consideration this morning. My last name starts with a C and I applied to Dallas.
