Okay, I'll be the first...Keiser University.

U.S.A. Florida

Hello,

I wanted to begin a KU thread for those who are:

Thinking about attending,

Planning to attend,

Your 'last' resort,

Your 'plan B' if 'plan A' doesn't work out,

Keeping your options open, while still waiting to hear from the less expensive school(s), and/or wanting to begin your Nursing journey/career right away despite the odds.

So,

When do you plan on taking the TEAS or have you taken it already?

Did you complete your general education requirements or in the process of completing them?

When do you plan to begin your core (Nursing courses) requirements?

Which campus are you seeking to attend?

Let's chat, share thoughts and ideas. Hope to hear from you all soon...Take care.

Did you take the teas yet ?if so how did you do ?

Still preparing...

Orientation was good. Overall, I feel really positive about the program. The professors are really experienced and are all ARNP's with tons of experience. There are a lot of initial costs so be prepared for that. Our first clinicals are at health central nursing home. After that they are with Florida Hospital.

The only drawback is the cost. The tuition went up, so when you add the fees and books it is significantly more than what I was originally anticipating.

Sorry just came here today. My TEAS is next Wednesday, the 7th of August. Have you taken yours yet?murse300[/quote']

That's good to hear...the most important goal is becoming an RN. I guess for a couple of years you will have to be on a financial diet to pay some fees back.

Hey all!

I'm thinking of attending the Jacksonville campus. Basically been researching all of the nursing schools in the area and my options.

For those of you that are currently enrolled especially students of the Jacksonville campus:

What do you think of the school and program overall?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Have you completed your prerequises? If so, there are a few programs in the Jacksonville area and KU will be a bit less expensive. I know of Chamberlain College of Nursing. If not, KU general education courses run around $1900 per course.

Thanks for your input, Getting To Great!

I ultimately decided on KU. I am starting my pre-reqs the 30th of Sept. Graduated from a Vocational Nursing program in CA many moons ago so I am starting from the beginning. Excited to dive back into the nursing world.
