Hello,

I wanted to begin a KU thread for those who are:

Thinking about attending,

Planning to attend,

Your 'last' resort,

Your 'plan B' if 'plan A' doesn't work out,

Keeping your options open, while still waiting to hear from the less expensive school(s), and/or wanting to begin your Nursing journey/career right away despite the odds.

So,

When do you plan on taking the TEAS or have you taken it already?

Did you complete your general education requirements or in the process of completing them?

When do you plan to begin your core (Nursing courses) requirements?

Which campus are you seeking to attend?

Let's chat, share thoughts and ideas. Hope to hear from you all soon...Take care.

Love Keiser! Has anyone taken microbiology already? Did you need an access code for that class?

Specializes in Med Surg, PCU, Travel.

I think the best way to evaluate any school is to let the employers decide. Let's face it, some schools are working closely with particular employers. So call up neighboring hospitals and just ask the HR manager what school credentials they prefer. That should give the best unbiased opinion because they test the market and they know which schools produce the best nurses.

Is there anyone on this thread who took the teas and isactually starting the Nursing program in January 2014? I am and was just wanting to get to know the people in my class.. for the Ft.Lauderdale campus.

Hello all! I have just enrolled in KU for their program BSIS (Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies) at the Lakeland campus so I may complete my last 3 prerequisites while I prepare and take my TEAS. This means I am not officially accepted into the nursing program yet but can take A&P 1 & 2, and micro now, take the TEAS and will change my program to nursing :). I am hoping for a fall start date because there are a few slots left!

Has anyone already started nursing core? Is anyone going to the Lakeland campus?

I was wondering the same thing! Did you ever find out the answer to this?

How is the program going so far? I am interested in the program as well and would love to hear about your experience and the lay out of the program. Hope to hear from you soon, thanks.

I start the actually nursing core this coming September so I am be sure how it is. The prerequisites are doable and I received A's in all of them.

BUMP! I am trying to decide whether or not to attend a community college for an ASN (24 months) or pay 25k more and attend Keiser's accelerated BSN program (16 months...they have just been cleared for this program). My only worry is that I do already have some student debt and worried about their reputation, so was just wanting to get some feedback from people about their experience and ability to find a job after graduating. Thanks so much for any info! :)

hi tshep, have you started keiser nursing program. how was it ? I have few question to ask about the program since I'm also interested. please give me your insight if you have started the nursing program.

Hi Jennyincze. I am starting my prerequisites with Keiser on January 9. Can you tell me what the core nursing schedule is like?

Thank you í ½í¸Š
