Ok, RANDOM question.What do you think of anne geddes pictures?

This is random but I was looking at anne geddes calenders online. Anyway, I do think her pictures are visually nice but was surprised to see that some people find it cruel for the babies. One person wrote how the babies are put in unusual positions, but isn't the fetal position comfortable for them? anyway, what are your thoughts? t.

I do, as well--it's like she is the quintessential, "It's all ablout ME" narcissist. Even when her husband Rene had CA, she turned it into an "all about ME" chance for photo ops and interviews about what a martyr she was, what she was giving up, etc. etc. She makes me ill--plus she is homely --did you ever seen her TEETH, back before Rene took her under his wing?-- (although she OBVIOUSLY thinks otherwise) and not at ALL a good singer.

The SNL spoofs of her are hilarious. I think she has a decent voice (well way better than me anyway) but yeah that whole "It's all about me" thing is really annoying. I think the whole Celine Dion plus Anne Geddes is what turned me off from Anne Geddes. I mean why do I want to look at Celine Dion with a bunch of babies. Is she supposed to enhance the picture or something? Blech.....Celine Dion.....yuck

I love most of Anne Geddes work. Babies are beautiful and most of her work exemplifies that. But I can see the point about making these tiny preemies just look like cute little dolls, downplaying the seriousness of prematurity.

See, I agree with you here. She is not a good singer. There are so many great women with great voices and she gets the limelight. Of course most of pop music is dreck.

I really dislike her pictures. Babies are so very beautiful on their own, I just don't think they need nonsensical embellishment like getting stuck in flower pots, etc. I wouldn't go so far as to say such photographs are cruel, but I do think they're kind of creepy.

I agree that some of Anne Geddes' pics are a little too weird. And just from reading this thread I know I don't want to see Celine!

Here's a photo book that was done by a NICU nurse...for NICU parents. It has pictures, prayers, and explanations of procedures.
