Ok I'm down under like you say, from the grate country of URUGUAY South America. Besides, we don't talk about you as form Up over

To Furball and anyone else interested:

The University of Alabama (UA) is in Tuscaloosa. (Famous for Coach Bear Bryant and the Crimson Tide Football Team... "Roll Tide".) They have a very good BSN Program there called the "Capstone College of Nursing" and have a nursing masters program in case management. The university has many good areas of study and are popular for business and law. They recently received the honor of having the best ballet dance instructor in the United States. It's a very well rounded school and Tuscaloosa is a nice place to live... not too big, not too small... and pretty too.

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is in Birmingham and is an excellent medical and nursing university. They offer several advanced nursing degrees and doctoral programs too. They are affiliated with University Hospital in Birmingham, a very large teaching hospital. There is also a fantastic Childrens' Hospital along with many other good area hospitals.

I've also read that the nursing program at Auburn University (in Auburn, Alabama) has a BSN program too. Their football team is the "Tigers" and their battle cry is "War Eagle". Auburn is a smaller town... the classic "small college town" and is very cozy and nice too.

Sorry for giving TOO MUCH INFORMATION, but I tend to talk a lot.

Warmly,

Anaclaire

Tookie

 Hey Tookie!!

Only just saw your post! No I'm a POWER fan!! Bugger the CROWS!... And can you believe it? Those fools are talking with that loser CAREY!!??... Yes, perhaps we could educate our Yankee cousins here about cricket! LOL. Isn't this site great? Wish we had one here in Oz. I sometimes don't quite "get it" with some of the sayings, words used etc here. But then, I guess they have trouble understanding us as well! :roll   :chuckle

It's reassuring to know we are not the only nurses with problems.

Our American cousins are having the same difficulties as us here. In fact, I think they've got it a LOT worse than us!!... I'm gobsmacked at some of what I've read on here at times. Can't believe the conditions they have to put up with & work under. Imagine our lot putting up with it... NOT! We'd all be on strike in no time!!

Hope you're enjoying working in N.S.W. Cheers...

Grace.
