I start NS in August, super excited and scared, want to know who all is so I can keep track when fall comes and we can share with each other
Congrats to the newest people!
I'm taking my CPR certification class tonight and I just got an email from one of my nursing professors (!) detailing what we need to do to get our scrubs and stethoscopes. Oh, and I'm writing my two week notice as well.
I take mine on Tuesday, I go get my last few immunizations on Monday (Meningitis, Tetnus/pertusis and TB Test), Ordered my scrubs today (we have to get them at a specific place and type), picked up my 10 panel drug screen test to do on Sat and did my Background check.
I picked up my lab kits today filled with needles galore and gloves and the other kid had the cathater kit and all that. Our first day the 24th is orientaion and there will be reps there with the types of Stethoscopes and so on that we need with discounts and stuff so I will get mine then.
It's getting close I am such a huge ball of nerves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I swear opening my lab kits was like Christmas morning!
I got my HAPPY letter back on June 14th.
I still cannot believe I am finally going to fill a life long dream of being a nurse.
School starts on the 24th of Aug. I am excited and nervous all at the same time. My only concern is my 11 year old is starting 6th grade, and I want to be involved in her life as much as possible. :heartbeat
GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!!!

It's hard, my oldest is starting 8th grade and first year of playing Varsity Football, thankfully it looks like I will be able to make all his games. It's his last year of JHS and my 2 other sons are going into 2nd and 4th grade and my daughter is 2 and starting early pre school. They are used to me always being there so it's going to be a tough adjustment and it kills me to have my daughter start daycare so young. Thankfully it's an outstanding school so I feel a little more at ease.
Congrats!!!!
