Ok I am trying to keep tabs, all starting this fall say I

I start NS in August, super excited and scared, want to know who all is so I can keep track when fall comes and we can share with each other :D

I have my CPR card, my background check done, and picked up my uniforms today. We were told we would get all our shot information at orientation on the 14th. Classes start on the 24th, and I am nervous and stressing all at the same time.

Orientation is all day tomorrow, then I have to go for a couple of hours on Friday. Classes start on the 17th!

I've done everything. I have my health insurance, student , CPR card, background check, all of my shots (except my last hep B, getting that next week), all of my supplies, my books, and my uniforms.

I'm so excited and nervous!

I start this fall, orientation on Aug. 14 and classes begin Aug. 17! Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, GA - BSN! I can't wait!!!!!!!

i will be starting my nursing classes the 17th (mon). can't believe it's already here, i am so excited and nervous all at the same time! got my uniforms, books (all 14 of them, lol) and my nursing kit. all shots done except for my last hep b and have to update my tb skin test. we will be starting clinicals 2 weeks after our first day, i will be on the med-surg floor. well i wish everyone the best of luck on their first days, i will def let you know how mine goes!

Hi everyone I also start this fall on the 31 st ..................I was wondering if anyone has purchased shoes ?? i bought nike shox because every nursing forum i go to, this is the top shoe that provides the most comfort and lasts the longest! the only thing is they are made very narrow, so if you have wide feet these are not gonna be comfortable. also they have a great arch in them.

oh and went i went to the er a few weeks ago with a friend, all i saw the nurses wearing is nike shox. crazy lol

I bought Nursemates, but a different style (Marcella). I have wide feet and a very high arch so I was happy to find something that fit comfortably.

They seem like a nice shoe, I bet you'll like yours.

I can't find the link for a pair I saw on here before, they are spendy and white and mary jane style, but I had planned on getting those before I lost the link. I have bad feet so I have to make sure I get myself a good pair. I have arch supports that were special ordered for my shoes.

Doncha luv that euphemism? "Non-traditional" sounds so much better than "older than dirt." I have you beat and can't quite believe that I will be 52 in August, just before I start NS in September. :eek: Oh well--I really don't feel that old, and there's nothing I can do about the number.

We old fogies will definitely have to keep in touch, along with all the other newbies.

I've wanted to do this ever since I was in 8th grade, and considering I just turned 53, that's a lot of years waiting for the "right time." My only medical experience is 30 years being a mom. I'm quite sure that I am the oldest in my class of 40 student nurses. What was I thinking!!:confused:

I dunno, but I must have been thinking it too. :smackingf I turn 52 in a few days and start NS on September 1st. We can be old fogies "together," at least virtually together. :nurse:
