OHSU BSN 2016 Applicants

Yah, thats what I saw too. That interview invites were based purely off GPA (which is frustrating). I'm just hoping for the opportunity to interview and would be upset if I wasn't offered a chance.
Did they happen to mention how many interviews they usually granted? I saw that in 2014, the Ashland campus had 76 applicants and 16 spots. I wonder what percentage were offered interviews?

I'm not sure about Ashland... I applied to the Portland ABSN. From reading last year's thread, they had 450 applicants, 130 interviewees, and 75 spots (combines summer/fall).

From stalking previous message boards it seems like they invite people for an interview about 2 weeks prior to the interview dates. Which means for the ABSN I would think it should be sometime next week? I applied to both the BSN and ABSN. Super nervous!!

Would anyone happen to know which grade they would use for prereq gpa if I took math 95 and received an A, as opposed to taking a higher math class and receiving a C? Kind of an odd question I know but I'm a little nervous now that the deadline is here.

I think they use whatever grade you designated as a prereq in the separate prerequisite worksheet you had to send in. If you look there are boxes all around that have for "OHSU use only" that looks like what they use to calculate points.

i mean the requirement for prereq was 95, if you took 95 and listed it on the worksheet you met that requirement... I don't think they can penalize you for going above what they ask for if you don't list it on the worksheet.

You list prerequisites on nursingCAS, but you're also required to fill out the prerequisite worksheet form and make a document that includes course descriptions from the catalog year of the institution you took the course. You're suppose to upload it to your nursingcas app, but the functionality wasn't there when I applied so I had to email it in to [email protected]

Oh my I was unaware of that document, I just thought I needed to fill it out on nursingCAS. Thank you for letting me know, I'll get it emailed to them today!

From what I understand, the courses you list in that form should resemble the list of prereqs you designated on NursingCAS. I listed statistics in lieu of Math 95 because I got a B in both but the instructions were to list as close to 45 credits as possible and my Math 95 equivalent was 5 semester credits and would have put me way over. It also actually raised my GPA calculation a little bit, too since I got a B in both but a B in a 3 credit course is less damaging than a 5 credit course.

Also, what I read from threads regarding previous years, if you're missing documents but have an otherwise complete packet they email you and give you a chance to send it in.
