Hey everyone! I am applying for OHSU BSN monmouth program this coming Fall for the 2016 school year! I would love to get a thread started :) It was so helpful last year! I will also be applying for Chemeketa this year.
Hope to hear from you all soon!
For those that already got their packets in the mail, how long after you got the acceptance notification did you get the packet in the mail?? and how much is the deposit?? Thank You!! :)
I am still waiting for my packet as well. I am sure it will be here soon. I keep getting emails from the school about financial aid and stuff so I am almost convinced that my acceptance was not a clerical error .
Hey folks, I just ran into this thread here and figured I should join in.
I'm not sure if I know any of you guys in person yet, but I'm Josh Brehm. I'm currently attending WOU, and I got accepted into OHSU's nursing program in Monmouth! I'm super excited to meet, get to know, and work with my Monmouth cohort!

Hi Josh! My name is Brittney and I will be seeing you in the fall
Make sure you not only have your hep b series but the titer. I started my compliance items and I didnt realize I would need it. Sucks too, I just got a varicella titer and I would have had them do it at the same time.
Heads up, complio denied my old hep b titers because they provided a quantitative number of antibodies instead of a qualitative "positive" and told me I had to ask a provider to order a new titer with a qualitative interpretation.

Oh man, I just went and got my hep B titer today and I'm hoping that since it's the same provider that did my varicella titer, which was approved, it will be fine also. Lets hope. I don't want to do it again. Haha.
So maybe this is a dumb question- but classes go through the summers right? And does anyone know if the classes are going to be all day or just half/ three-quarter of the day?
You have summers off and here is the link to a sample calendar :)

My friend who just graduated told me the in-class lecture portions of the class are more heavy towards the beginning of the program, but by the end of it you're more or less working for free at clinical sites for most of the week with one day in the classroom.
Summers are off unless you're in some kind of elective program (VA VALOR program comes to mind), or you're in the accelerated program.

Perfect! Thanks for the info. Per the schedule for the upcoming semester it looks like we are there Mondays and Wednesdays?

Do we just need the regular vaccines (Tdap, MMR, Flu, Varicella, Tetorifice, Hep B, etc)?
Mbells.
