Hey everyone! I am applying for OHSU BSN monmouth program this coming Fall for the 2016 school year! I would love to get a thread started :) It was so helpful last year! I will also be applying for Chemeketa this year.
Hope to hear from you all soon!
Perfect! Thanks for the info. Per the schedule for the upcoming semester it looks like we are there Mondays and Wednesdays?
I just called and asked what they think our schedule will look like for this fall and she said that they are trying to schedule our classes for Tuesday's, Wednesday's, and Thursday's í ½í¸Š
Do we just need the regular vaccines (Tdap, MMR, Flu, Varicella, Tetorifice, Hep B, etc)?
This is the compliance requirements for vaccinations to help people on the waitlist get squared away in case they get that call and aren't so far behind as some of these might take a while to complete if you have a negative titer.
Tetorifice/Diphtheria/Tdap: You must upload documentation of a TD OR a Tdap within the last 10 years. Please enter the date of your shot(s) and upload documentation below.
Polio: You may enter the dates of your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Polio shot, but it is not required. You MUST upload a 4th Polio shot out of the series OR a 5th Polio Shot/Booster OR a Polio Titer. If the titer is negative or equivocal, you must submit a 5th Polio Booster shot. Please enter the date of your shot(s) below.
Measles: You must upload 2 doses of Measles OR a Positive Titer. If the titer is negative or equivocal, you are required to submit a Measles Booster dated after negative or equivocal titer. Please enter the date of your shot(s) below.
Mumps: You must upload 2 doses of Mumps OR a Positive Titer. If the titer is negative or equivocal, you are required to submit a Mumps Booster dated after negative or equivocal titer.
Rubella: You must upload 1 dose of Rubella OR a Positive Titer. If the Titer is negative or equivocal, you are required to submit a Rubella Booster dated after negative or equivocal titer. Please enter the date of your shot(s) below.
Hepatitis B: You must upload a Positive Hepatitis B Surface Antibody Titer (HBsAB). If the HBsAB Titer is negative or equivocal, you must submit at least one booster (Hepatitis B Repeat 4th) dated AFTER non-immune titer, then repeat the HBsAB Titer. If the repeat HBsAB Titer is negative or equivocal, you must upload the Hepatitis B Surface Antigen Titer (HepBsAG) AND Hepatitis B Core Antibody Titer (HepBcAB). Both HepBsAG AND HepBcAB must be negative to be compliant. Please enter the date of your shot(s) and upload documentation below. *If you apply for an exception you must submit the Hepatitis B Exception Form. Please get this form from your admin.
Varicella: You must upload the 2-Shot Series of Varciella OR a Positive Titer OR Date of Disease. If the titer is negative or equivocal, you are required to submit 2 doses of Varicella dated at any point in time. Please enter the date of your shot(s) below.
Tuberculosis: You must initially upload documentation of the 2-Step PPD (1 week to 12 months between shots) then one annually thereafter. If a PPD is Positive, you must submit proof of the PPD Positive AND a Negative Chest X-Ray AND a TB Clearance Letter. If you have had BCG, please obtain a Quantiferon TB Gold Test and submit the result and documentation. If you would like to submit documentation of an INH Treatment, please contact your school for instructions on how to proceed. Please enter the date and results of your shot(s) below.
You are also required to have a current American Heart Association BLS for health care providers card.
So the way the facebook groups work is you'll get a link to add the OHSU student nurse ambassador as a friend, then they add you to a hidden group for new admits for ALL programs. Then a student from each cohort makes a group. Since Monmouth's decisions were pretty recently, there might not be anybody in the hidden group to organize the "official" Monmouth class of 2019 page.
Is anyone on here waitlisted for ohsu ? Do you know what the chances are of getting in if you are ? The wait is killing me !
I am in the same boat! I have been placed on the waitlist for the Ashland campus. The chances of getting in mostly depend on how many accepted applicants accept their position and also where you fall on the waitlist (high, moderate, and somewhat). From what I have heard in regards to the Ashland campus, 18 alternates were accepted last year and 8 were accepted the year before; so it changes every year.
I know the accepted applicants have until June 15th to accept their spot in the program; at least that's true for the Ashland campus.
All I know is don't lose hope because there is always a chance of being called off the alternate list to accept a position!
I wish I could give you a clearer answer to your question! We just have to hang in there and wait it out even though I know it is killing you and me both!
Best of luck to you!
