OHSU Ashland & RCC Fall 2014 Applicants

Hi Everyone!Thought I'd start a thread for those of us applying to OHSU Ashland or RCC for Fall 2014 entry. Where is everyone at in the process? I just completely finished and submitted my OHSU application. I'm almost done with my RCC application. A little about me:I've been married for almost seven years. We have three kids and I'm 30 years old. I have a bachelors degree from SOU and have all my pre-requisites and co-requisites completed. Just crossing my fingers that this will finally be my turn. I'm so anxious to start my dream career!

We both applied to the 3-year BSN program. Sorry, I haven't heard anything about the ABSN program, but I wish you the best of luck!!

I was thinking it was a different program than me since you were talking about interviews. Thank you, best of luck to you as well!! Where will you be coming from?

I applied to both programs. I haven't heard anything whatsoever from RCC yet.

I'm local and took pre-reqs at RCC. Are you out of state?

I applied to both programs. I haven't heard anything whatsoever from RCC yet.

In the confirmation email I received from RCC after my application was received, it said

we should be contacted by April 11th to schedule our proctored essays. Time is dragging...

I'm out of country! I live in Japan, but I'm from FL originally.

I was reading through some older emails from OHSU and read that ABSN notification is expected early-mid April. Time is definitely dragging.

I never got a confirmation email from RCC. Uh oh! Now I'm concerned. Maybe I should call?

In the confirmation email I received from RCC after my application was received, it said

we should be contacted by April 11th to schedule our proctored essays. Time is dragging...

"This is to verify that your 2014 Nursing Program Application for Fall Entry was received prior to the 5 PM, February 15, 2014 deadline.

We are currently processing the applications. As stated in the Application Packet, if you are among the top 85 eligible applicants you will proceed to Phase 2 and be notified by April 11 to schedule a proctored essay on April 18 or 19, 2014

Each applicant will be notified via email of his or her status regarding acceptance by June 1, 2014. Please do not call Nursing or Enrollment Services regarding your status unless you have not heard from the College by that time.

Thank you so much for the heads up and posting what they sent! I called this morning and the application specialist said they've been having trouble with emails being kicked back. So, they were sending out hard copies as well. She verified that my application was processed, and she also told me I was awarded 5 extra points I didn't think I was going to be able to get! I'm on cloud nine. :). Just hoping 57.08 points will carry me to the next round. April can't come soon enough

Really hoping we at least hear about invitations to RCC's essay this week. MHCC students have already been invited to the second phase of their process - the interview. It makes me anxious to hear something. Anyone else feeling this way?
