Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone else is applying for the ABSN at OHSU for 2021? I just submit my application for the Ashland campus and would love to connect with other people who are applying! I'm feeling pretty nervous about how competitive the program is ?

Hi all,
I received a response this morning that the Ashland ABSN has not yet sent out interview invitations and that we should be checking our email and phones since the invitations will be sent out soon.
Thank you so much for this update! Now I will be obsessively checking my email with a purpose LOL. Goodluck ?❤️

Well heck hopefully everything can request a day off last minute.....
Re:Portland ABSN -> DFNP, I just received an email saying that I'd been admitted! Very excited as it's my second time applying to that program and last year I ended up on the waitlist. If you also applied to that program, go ahead and check your email now! Looking forward to connecting with all of you ABSN-DNPers and all the Summer start ABSNers. -Elizabeth (nickname Eli, pronounced Ellie)

That’s crazy considering the interview dates are in 2 weeks... makes it so hard for anyone working in healthcare in person who needs to take off work! Which I would assume is a lot of the people who applied ? maybe they got a lot more applicants than they expected?
Has anyone else heard about the ABSN-DNP in Ashland? I just got an email saying I was accepted! I would love to connect with others since it is such a small cohort.
Congrats to everyone else!

I wonder if they are involved with coordinating covid vaccines in the area down there? I assumed that is why Portland is not having virtual interviews. With all of the vaccine clinics, my thoughts were that they didn't have time for the interviews so the papers made more sense? I don't know though. I wonder if Ashland's committee was more overwhelmed with the covid response and I would not be surprised if OHSU was pushing for more nurses to be accepted into each cohort since nurse burnout in the last year has been such a big issue. Just my speculatuons!

Same here...Applied to the ABSN-CNM program and haven't heard anything yet. They told me they'd let me know in 2-3 weeks, today is the start of week 3 so my nerves are on fire! haha
Also applied to the ABSN program on its own, haven't heard anything except the confirmation email from Vanessa when they let me know they got my essay responses. I imagine it'll be another 2-3 weeks for those since that's a lot of reading!
