Officially tired and worn out from studying Nclex RN

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I am so tired of studying. I feel like my mind is at an overload and I test soon, so now all I do is questions and little bit of content overview. Am I going insane?

One would only have to guess that you are a "sailor" then. How dare you have a motivational screen name on a nursing blog site. Good luck on your test.

You are 100% right! Struggles only equal success and I won't give up! This is my passion and what I went to nursing school for and received my bachelors ! Thanks for the encouragement

My apologies, I'm new to this and this was my first post. I graduated in May with my BSN, this is my THIRD TIME taking this test. I used Kaplan, did everything I was supposed to and got above a 65% on the readiness, and failed. I just didn't feel 100% and I knew something was off so I went for the virtual ati that my school had for free, and did content only, few questions that were content based only not application and analysis. So when I took it that time, my scores were lower from not practicing questions. Now, I took Hurst....omg let me tell ya...AMAZINGGGGGG:yeah: I like had an epiphany or something bc my scores doubled in Kaplan when I redid the Qbank and I was so happy. So now I'm currently review some contents in Saunders and doing questions from either Kaplan and hurst and my scores are sooooo much better! I'm scared and excited all in one but I have a good feeling. All in all, I pray all day everyday for guidance, understanding, wisdom, and strength, I know God has a plan for me and I will pass this DEMON! Lol

I test next week by the way lol sorry left that out :)

I like your name just the way it is. It says " soon to be RN" I see nothing wrong with that. At any rate I hope you rock the NCLEX! The day before my test I don't study or do any practice questions. I went shopping to ease my mind lol. Make sure you get s good nights rest the night before and again good luck!

Methinks she already changed it. Right, Saff? Correct me if I'm wrong. I can take it.

Passed my test:eek:! I can't believe it! I finally am an RN and it feels GREAT!

Since you failed to use the Quote button, (lower right corner, before the Like button) I believe you are addressing me for having "sailor" as part of my screen name. As a former Navy Nurse Corps Officer/Gulf War Vet, I believe I can use "Sailor" as part of my name as I earned it when I volunteered to serve my country. BTW, my avatar is a picture of the hospital ship, the USNS Comfort, which I was on during the Persian Gulf War.

And not sure exactly what you mean by your second sentence, "How dare you have a motivational screen name on a nursing blog site" if that was for Saff Soon To Be RN, but in most states it is illegal to call yourself a nurse in you have not earned a nursing license. On this nursing blog, here are the Terms of service;

In the TOS, it clearly states:

Using Professional Titles:

Members cannot call themselves by professional titles, if they do not hold that title. ie. "doctor, Dr.,
RN
, LPN, LVN, Nurse, CNA, RT, MA" etc, unless they are actually licensed and/or certified as such. Use of such titles is protected under most state laws. If you have chosen a user ID name that reflects an unearned professional title, please contact:
Admin Office
, and submit three (3) names for consideration. An administrator will contact you.

So Saff, now you can change your name back since you passed your NCLEX. Congratulations.

Have a good day. ;-)

Thank you for your service, SailorNurse

It is illegal in most states to identify yourself as a nurse when you are not a nurse. It "bothers" most of the nurses on AN and is on the terms of service that you agreed to when you signed up. When you pass Nclex the joy you will feel the first time you sign RN behind your name will mean more because you will have earned it. Stay focused, good luck on test day.

I hope this is the worst problem you have in your life.

A member puts "RN" in her name.......... How horrific.

What if "RN" are initials?

Not sure who you hope has this problem? If you think this is petty then read the terms of service which I explained in my pp. But what are the odds that initials were RN? Richard Nixon ?Not when used with words such as: soon to be, future, wanna be etc etc.

Have a good day.
