You weren't wrong. Unconscious patients always need oxygen. They also can't protect her airway, because they are unconscious. Most EMS departments have ET CO2,if not all. Pulse ox symmetry only tells you about the patients oxygenation, gives you no information in reference to their ventilation. I probably wouldn't question them, I would assess the patient, and let that guide your treatment. Next time you go to work, hold your breath as long as you can, and check your pulse ox........ It will be above 95%. As soon as you stop ventilating/breathing the ETCO2 will most likely be above 45.

Don't take this as the gospel, I'm just trying to give you information that I have heard.... The test will face its decision on your last 60 questions that you answered, if any of those questions were answered incorrectly that were above the line questions, you would fail. There is a video on YouTube made by jake schubert, he owns NURSITY.COM. Has a good video about this situation. Anyway,if u got all 265,that means you took everything NCLEX had to offer. it would have never gotten past 75 if you were doing bad. Basically , it gave you 190 more questions to see if your scoring well enough to pass. I know at least five people who have got all 265 within the last month, and they all passed. Good luck. Check that YouTube video out. I take mine in one week.

Good job. Four of my friends from school recently took the exam, they all got 265, and they all passed. From what I understand, if your last question was above the line, and you got it correct, you pass. But, about 85% of things post on this website in reference to NCLEX,are rumors and not facts. It will always put a smile on my face when I hear a good posting about somebody passing NCLEX. I take mine for the third time in Florida, three weeks from now. Again, good job. Adam

The urology answer is prob CORRECT....... In REAL LIFE! NCLEX-prob not. So, pt c/c is just dismissed then sent to urology?? What would the NCLEX lady say? Overall, this is a poor question. Vague/ambiguous and doesnt attempt to assess critical thinking, just if a person can correctly guess the BEST answer, even if incorrect

First of all....... The sky isnt falling! You can do it, but you have to stay focused. I say that because I am preparing to take my test for the third time. I just started doing U WORLD. Those questions are real life NCLEX in my opinion w/ amazing rationales. I also think it is important to watch videos. Trust me, I know what it feels like to feel defeated. I have been a firefighter paramedic for 17 years. Failed twice........ Totally crushed me and it still hurts. Never quit. If you would like to go over material..... I'm always willing to try new strategies. Good luck.

I just failed on July 1 in 99 questions. I have not received any candidate performance report yet. Let me start by saying, I went to an accelerated nursing program for paramedics and firefighters that was by no means adequate. This was the only school that had a firefighter friendly nursing schedule. Here's what I did, and what I liked. ☀️HURST live review in classroom TWICE! Drove three hours to sit through it the second time. ☀️HURST ONLINE REVIEW-listen to all of the videos twice. ☀️ NCSBN three week course Questions were helpful, but didn't like the set up of it, but it is only 50 bucks. ☀️ATI-my school paid for it, and I sat through two of the three days, online questions are right on, had technical issues while setting it up,overall good ☀️ALL SAUNDERS BOOK ☀️ simple nursing videos-listen to them in my car almost everywhere I drove to. ☀️HURST Q-review In closing, I did not think the test was even as hard as our exit HESI. The amount of time that we spent in the classroom could not possibly have given us enough exposure to the nursing material. That being said, I will take it as soon as possible after my 45 day wait, and I will take Kaplan as well, and the LACHARITY I am almost halfway done with the Lacharity book, and it is wonderful, questions are right on. I took NCLEX on 7/1 and failed in 99 questions. I thought my exit HESI was more difficult. I took HURST review live in person days 1 and 2, i could take day 3, i bought the 3wk plan and watched all of review lectures online, i did all Qreview as well. I purchased the 3wk NCSBN,but didnt finish. My school offered ATI,did that as well. I would suggest searching on YouTube for any procedures that you might not understand and watching a short video on them. There were a lot of nursing consideration questions, about what you would do after you got a patient out of surgery. Good luck, and remember you can do this.
