  1. Both help, Hurst help for the hard STATA questions. If you have time do Uworld twice and understand it. I didn't study drugs, its a waste of time because you will learn as you go through Hurst fill-in/back of book (resources) and Uworld. Study diabetes meds, peak times etc and immunization times which is in the resources for Hurst in the back of the book. Thats all you need to pass. This website didnt allow me to send private messages because I didn't participate actively on 15 or more post but here some advice.
  2. I read from the Mary ann hogan book comprehensive review book or saunder comprehensive review book for a certain disease that I wanted to know more about (four times on a different diseases) I tried the Saunders questions but stopped because it was too easy. But then I just focused on HURST videos and the fill-in portion and resources that came with it repeatedly, in between that, I just did questions from hurst, passpoint and uworld. I did only five chapters from PDA as it was similar to UWORLD and Uworld was an better program to focus on. I studied for 2.5 months 8-10 hrs a day due to the amount of questions and remediation/going over the questions. During studying you have to manage you time wisely because some resources are not worth wasting your time using. Saunders questions was just too easy and Uworld prepares you better for Nclex but you have to know your content first (Hurst review) and passpoint is adaptive like nclex so that's why I choose to focus on those three programs because each worked for me in different ways. Hurst prepares you to remember stuff for those dreadful STATA questions Passpoint is adaptive like NCLEX EXAM where you have to reach a level 8 UWORLD teaches you how to think critically higher then NCLEX That worked for me, and I didn't want to rely on one resource, it may work for others but knowing myself I was comfortable with trying all three and knowing when a certain resource was not worth using anymore due to my lack of time.
  3. I did content first with Hurst then questions totaling 3500 from hurst, passpoint then UWORLD. I read from Saunders intro in their book that its best to do 3500-4000 questions before NCLEX.
  4. Passpoint NCLEX-RN Exam Study Guide 2014-15, Practice Quizzes and Questions click on try it free, I called them as well since it was more than two days that I waited for access. I recommend focusing on UWORLD a month before NCLEX exam since it's such a great tool. Uworld: https://www.uworld.com/nclex/register.aspx?ID=STUDENT-971524-2015 I found online There should be a new one for 2016 via online if you search, I also read that they put the code on their facebook. Call them for one week free using a new email. Saunders is a good thing to start with but the questions are too easy, yet its a good tool for understanding.
  5. Read my post: https://allnurses.com/nclex-discussion-forum/passed-rn-nclex-1027879.html UWORLD is amazing it is harder then the NCLEX and will prepare you to think critically. If you are poor on content and want to do better on STATA Q try HURST review online and repeatedly study the fill-in portion and resources that come with it. Pass point two week free trial is great as well as the questions are adaptive. I did HURST, passpoint then Uworld in 2.5 months totaling up to 3500 Q Its best to use more then one program Hope that helps.
  6. Hurst is great for review and understanding. I took the online version and re-watched the videos and completed the fill-in book. During those 2.5 months of studying I reviewed the fill-in book repeatedly. Hurst will help you remember key info used on STATA questions and it will make that info stick. The videos are not boring either. Hurst questions goes with the book which will prepare for content. The resource pages they give you as well is great. Uworld is harder then NCLEX but I would use UWORLD after Hurst. Nclex RN passpoint also has a two free week trial allowing you to do as many question during those two weeks. I did 50-300 questions and reached a level 8 (highest) on the second exam. It similar to Nclex as the questions are adaptive I did HURST then NCLEX Passpoint two week trial and last UWORLD (one week free trial then extended it to one more week) = 3500 questions in 2.5 months. You want to first brush up on content then tackle questions and remediate after. I use more then one program to get a better feel of critical thinking instead of one program. Hurst $300 + pass point (two week free trail) + UWORLD (one week free and extended a week for $20) = $320
  7. Uworld and the PDA book will prepare you. Focus on uworld and do it twice if you have to. You got this!! I passed on my 2nd attempt using UWORLD and Hurst (for content)
  8. Read my post:https://allnurses.com/nclex-discussion-forum/passed-rn-nclex-1027879.html I suggest doing Hurst online and repeatedly review the Fill-in book as well as the resource page Complete the Hurst questions then move onto the free two week NCLEX rn trial you should reach a level 8 on all the exams, don't waste your time on the quizzes. Do at least 50-300 questions during those two weeks (exam-mode) Last but not least NCLEX rn UWORLD which allows you do think higher then the NCLEX exam. Try the free one week trial and extend the trial to however length of time you need. I used tutor mode most of the time Overall I did 3500 questions in 2.5 months, using all three resources also including 5 chapters from the PDA book. I wanted to use different programs and not just settle for one.
  9. I wouldn't buy Hurst again but review the book comes with it, the one that you filled in the blanks and know the resources that came with it. Know that book like the back of your hand. Try passpoint RN NCLEX two week free trial and do 150-300 questions and review the rationale. Copy and make notes on the one that you have trouble with. You should score a level 8 on the exams don't wast your time on the quizzes. Last try the one week free trial for UWORLD RN NCLEX this program makes you think more critically then RN NCLEX. If you feel like it works for you extend that free week for however you feel you need it. Here is my post: https://allnurses.com/nclex-discussion-forum/passed-rn-nclex-1027879.html Hope it helps. Just keep reviewing the Hurst fill in book and doing questions until you feel ready. Please don't purchase any new resources but try the free trials and see if it fits you.
  10. Sorry to hear that, yes I saw my name on the FBON website. Keep trying, did you eventually pass? if not yet, then maybe use UWORLD and HURST.
  11. I'm in Florida and did the quick results but yeah I also went to the Florida board of Nursing website and typed my name and didn't see anything. Its only been 48 hours since I took my test. I would call them to see what is going on.
  12. I failed my first attempt, I only did Kaplan, which didn't help me. I was devastated when I saw FAIL after I paid the 48 hour quick results. I was depressed for a little bit and started praying and asking God for direction. _New Strategy_ I went on forums to search for a new plan. I also prayed daily as to what and how God wanted me study. *I purchased the Hurst review, which was good on content. I can say Hurst opened that door to understanding the content and making it stick. *Second I registered for the free two week NCLEX RN Passpoint and did 50 to 300 Exam questions per day. Went over what I got wrong and why. Then I reviewed the Hurst book over and over again. *Last I discovered UWorld and glad I did because it made me really think critically and understood why my answer was wrong or right, it also had thorough explanations with excellent pictures. Oh how I loved their pictures and charts. Their explanation's was the key to my understanding. I extended my free week trial to another week, which was only $20. * I was able to do complete 4 Hurst Q exams. I wanted to try all exams! instead of just use one resource. Passpoint was good on content and elevation of question like NCLEX. I reached a level 8 on the exams not quizzes. Hurst exams were more psych based but still a good review as it connected with the book. *UWORLD was the icing on the cake, I did UWORLD exams 2 weeks before my exam and passed the Nclex with 87 questions. *I like UWORLD because of the abundance of STATA question it was very similar to the PDA Lacharty book (which I only did five chapters on). The questions will prepare you to think higher then the NCLEX exam *Overall I did around 3500 questions in 2.5 months. Among all programs, I believe UWORLD helped me the most, it made me more confident due their abundance of STATA questions. *UWORLD I would give two thumbs up, if you go over your content and just do UWORLD you will succeed. If you're poor on content do Hurst and try passpoint (two free week trial) and after you build your content/remembering the key things then do UWORLD. *I believe you can still pass with UWORLD and a content based resource. Hurst scores: 77/125, 76/125, 84/125 and 76/125 Nclex Passpoint: reached a level 8 on all my exams except for the first one which was a level 7, I didn't do the mini quizzes. UWORLD scored 56-64% on the tutor mode and some on exam mode depending on the subjects. If you score around 60ish your good!!! I'm a nervous test taker so I wanted to make sure I over studied so that I can answer the questions with confidence. In the exam, I had snacks, took my time and on my break went to the bathroom to stretch, jump around a bit which bought back the blood to my brain. I yelled a lil bit to relieve some frustrations…lol and to wake myself up, because your eyes and brain can get tired. Ate some candy and drank some water and got back in the game and finished with 87 questions and PASSED!!! UWORLD posts helped me stay in the NCLEX hunger games. I studied between 8-10 hours a day as if I was working because like I said I wanted to over study due to my test anxiety.
