Failed NCLEX again….
Thats awesome, congrats in advance because I'm sure you passed!!! I am definitely going to be MIA for a few weeks and do uworld, I've heard lots of positive feedback on it.

Failed NCLEX again….
Thank you for that! I think I need to understand the nclex because even just studying I get overwhelmed and I feel like I don't even know where to start. My issue also is second guessing myself and not taking my time to break down the question. I'll definitely start working my way up with the minimum and up the max and stimulating it as if I were actually taking the test.

Failed NCLEX again….
Hey guys, Looking for some guidance as to what do next. Found out last week I failed the test for the 4th time…I have my background on a previous post. I graduate nursing school in Australia, been out of school for a few years now and i'm not sure where to go from here. This time I really thought I had it…. I decided instead of being depressed and give up i'm going to keep going because I know this is what i'm supposed to be doing, I know i'm a good nurse, I have a year work experience as an RN in Australia, and I can't see myself doing anything else! The past few months have been a whirlwind as I just got married and all the business was distracting, however I still thought I could do it. I tried Kaplan the second time around and I didn't like it at all. Then I went to ATI, I scored 90% chance of passing on their predictor test and yet I failed again. I've decided not to do ATI again as I feel the questions are repetitive, did it twice now and rationals aren't that good and I find most of it i'm re doing the same questions over and over again. I keep hearing about UWORLD. Now that things have settled down in my life a bit i'm ready to really to seclude myself and study study study. Any experience with UWORLD or anything else that helped?? I've already reapplied to do it, this time i'm not telling a soul other than my husband. I feel the pressure from everyone constantly asking about it and the feeling of disappointing my family and friends puts so much pressure on me and I already have bad test anxiety too. Although I know they are all coming from a good place. I know I could do this I just have to put more effort in it, which I haven't been doing as much as I could I just feel like there is so much I get overwhelmed thinking where to start!!!!!! Some people have to told me to take a break, try and work as a caregiver or get my LVN license and start over but i'm determined to do what I love and that is to have the RN behind my name. Does anyone have any insight as to what's a realistic goal? I'm only working part time so I have the time. I've applied to retake the test and now i'm looking at the best testing tools. I have NCLEX books galore as well. If i take 2 months and really lock myself up and just study, lets say do all the questions on UWORLD that i've been reading about, is that realistic? One thing i've learned is to stay positive and not be defeated. The hard part I finished, which was nursing school. I was a great student, and I know I can do this!!!! Any guidance/advice would be helpful.

Just finished nclex/cut off at 75 questions
Hey there! i haven't been on this site long enough to be able to send private messages. It's encouraging to know we're not alone, for me at least the first feeling of failure is the worst. That how come everybody can do this and I can't. I took a month off and now i'm trying again, the 4th will be the last!!! I've had everybody tell me about verse so i'm going to look into signing up for that tomorrow. Like you, Kaplan bored me. I've been doing ATI testing which has been very helpful and gives you an online coach. Going to start that from the beginning. I Know we can get this done. I'm tired of people asking me what are you going to different, whens your test, what are you going blah blah like leave me along for god's sake! There is nobody that wants to pass more than me and i'm not happy with my situation so get off my back! Theres my rant as about 15 min I had this argument with my dad. Stay positive! I too was depressed for a couple weeks, took a breather and now I'm ready. Everytime I pass by a hospital I get excited, i've started writing RN throughout the day randomly after my name and i'm going to treat studying like it's a job and really give it everything. Like you said, God's saying not yet for some reason. we wouldn't of gotten through school and put in those countless hours of studying and clinicals and assignments if we didn't take this seriously. There is 1 damn test standing in the way and the more people tell me I can't the more I wanna prove all of them wrong. I just gave in my application to the nursing board this week, so that should take 4-6 weeks. Im hoping to take it by march. This time i'm not going to tell a SOUL when my test is. Not my parents, not my friends, nobody. Then when I see that license online it'll be that much sweeter, as well as less pressure from everyone. We can do this!!!! Take a breather, and regroup. Nobody understands what we're going through and what we've gone through. No more bad relationship, do you!!!! Do this for you and your kids. Don't give up!!!!

Failed 3rd time, can't bear it again!
I read your post, and I will definitely try UWORLD. Congrats on passing!! I will be there soon, I know it! You said it good, treat it as if it's a full time job and I need to do that and will start doing that. I'm gonna try to use no more than 3 programs because I want to make sure I get through them. For instance with ATI I cannot go onto to the next section/assessment until I finish the previous one and shouldn't take the NCLEX until I get the green light from the online coach which means you pass the predictor with 90%. I want to make sure I get through it. I heard UWOrLD is pretty hard, and I need that especially with SATA questions.

Failed NCLEX 3rd time, should I go back to do LVN?
Thank you! I am going to start over with that and UWORLD

Failed NCLEX 3rd time, should I go back to do LVN?
I haunt tried Hurst review. I"ve heard mixed reviews about it. I don't want to have too many different avenues. I need to treat studying like it's a full time job. I have ATI testing and i'm going to sign up for UWORLD. Also i'm going to keep my test a secret from everything so it's less pressure on me.

Failed NCLEX 3rd time, should I go back to do LVN?
Thank you! I actually am currently taking ATI, did not wait for the green light before taking my exam as it was too late to reschedule my test so I am starting the class over again. It's definitely helped me since the last time, even though I didn't pass my scores were better than last time.

Failed NCLEX 3rd time, should I go back to do LVN?
Im frustrated also because all the Americans that went to school with me in Australia and came back passed the nclex on the first try. I am back in America currently and BSN is compatible here. I need to buckle down and study more and learn better test taking strategies and how to answer the questions. I will check with Kaplan about retaking the course, thanks for that! Didn't even think of that and would save me $$ too.

They don't have NCLEX there.

Failed NCLEX 3rd time, should I go back to do LVN?
Hey guys, I have the full story of my journey up in my page in another post. Long story short I graduated nursing school end of 2012 (dec) in Australia. Stayed an extra year as I got hired as a new grad on the med surge unit. When I moved back, had to retake peds/ob as my clinical hours weren't concurrent. After that I took the nclex without really studying. Failed it. Second time took Kaplan and failed and now just found out I failed it a third time. Last year was very tough family wise as we had diagnosis of cancer and a death in the family among other things. I put effort into this last time. A lot! I'm a horrible test taker with bad anxiety and though I was near passing on my results i feel defeated. It's a New Year and I'm ready to start again. I'm taking an online prep course as well as heard many good things about uworld that I'm gonna try. my moms an RN and she's been pressuring me lately to take a break, go back and get my LVN work for a bit then go back and try. I don't think that's the best option. I'm in the zone now, and I will get it. Just have to keep going. Has anybody had any experience with this? I'm not even sure how the LVN program works if I already have my BSN? I'm just kinda lost. Nobody wants this more than me, and I keep telling my family I know they're frustrated but nobody is more than me.!8; they think I'm happy with my situation, well I'm obviously not. Any insight or advice is helpful!

Failed 3rd time, can't bear it again!
Thank you for the support! I'm so sorry to hear that you went through depression. I was afraid that after failing a third time I was gonna go through that as well and I've been trying to stay positive because I'm my own worth enemy. I gotta regroup and come up with another plan and do something different this time around. I'll check out the study guides and mastery app! Thank you so much for the advice and hope to keep in touch!

Failed 3rd time, can't bear it again!
Hey guys, Finally decided to join this site and community as I desperately need some support. Got the letter few weeks ago that stated I failed the NCLEX for the 3rd time…Little background on me. I decided to go abroad for nursing school, Australia and graduated in 2012. Got my bachelor degree there and stayed an extra year to work and get some experience and I worked on the medsurge unit. When I moved back I took the NCLEX thinking practical experience would be sufficient and not surprisingly failed. After that I signed up for Kaplan….admittingly didn't put in that much effort again and failed after 98 questions. After that I took the past 4 months, signed up for ATItesting, have an online coach and have put a lot of effort into studying. I've done hours and hours of practice questions, predictor said I had a 90% chance of passing and I've been praying non stop about it and literally putting everything I had into it. Today got the dreaded letter after 75 questions I failed. This time decided not to tell anyone else but my family and a couple close friends, as i've found the more people that know the more pressure and embarrassment it put on me. My mom's a nurse, many friends are nurses and its already a lot of pressure as it is. I have a lot of family stuff come up last year, diagnosis of cancer, death in the family, and in the past few weeks a cousin in the ICU…needless to say my concentration hasn't been the best. I'm not sure how to pick myself up from this one. I feel stupid, I feel like people don't understand how hard this is. I have bad test anxiety and started taking xanax a week before my test, surprisingly I was calm on test day, did everything I was supposed to and out of the 3 times I felt this was the best i've felt. My mom suggested maybe I go to school for an LVN and take a break and go from there and I feel as if that's not an option. I worked so hard to get through school, to get my degree, to get to where i'm at and yes I took a step back and now a couple more steps back but i'm just numb right now. I know this is where I need to be and want to be and this is my dream job!!!!! Am I too stupid to pass this test? Have I been out of school for a few years and thats why i'm struggling? I'm not sure what to do. Will I ever get a job when people find out I failed 3 times? Is there a certain number you can take the test? All these questions i'm asking myself and i'm not sure where to go from here. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as this time digging myself out of this hole is going to be a struggle. I know i'm a good nurse, I know I know this stuff and I know that this is the career for me!!! I want this bad. I've heard about UWORLD from people so i'm going to give that a go and start over with my online class and do things differently. I feel like nobody really understands how hard this test is and I came here hoping that people can share their advice and experiences and likewise because we are the only ones that understand each other. It's 2016, a new year and a new start. I'm ready!!! I turned in my application for re examination this morning and that should take about 4-6 weeks so i'm hoping to take the test and pass it by March!

Hurst with Nclex Help Study Plan
I'm in a very similar situation to you! I've been out of school since 2012 (got my degree in Australia) then stayed an worked for a year. Just found out a couple weeks ago I failed it for the 3rd time. First time I took it right when I got back and admittedly didn't study much, then the last 2 times my family has been dealing with a lot of hardships. We've had a diagnosis of cancer in a family, and a family member pass away from cancer, and recently one go into the hospital. I'm frustrated, jobless, back home living with mom and dad. The pressure is immense and frustrating because I know i'm gonna be a damn good nurse. My parents even suggested me taking a break, do my LVN work for a bit and go back and study which I don't think is going to help me at all. I took Kaplan and it didn't help me at all. I've been doing ATI testing which is like an online course and they send you review books. It's been very helpful and having an online coach has its perks. I'm an awful test taker and have really bad anxiety, and with all the family stuff going on last year just wasn't my year. I wasn't sure how to dig myself out of this hole but it can be done!!! I''m going to try UWORLD as i've heard most people say really good things about it. Don't be discouraged, it's stressful and nobody around you knows how hard this test is. Take it at the time that works best for you! I had to postpone it and postpone it bout 5-6 times and then even though I knew I wasn't ready I was rushed into it and pressured and I took it. Wrong move. Do you!!!! In the end nobody wants to pass it and get their lives moving more than us. Keep telling yourself nobody wants it more than I do every time you feel pressured by somebody. If you come across any good study plans, please let us know! and I will do the same. I'm new to this site, and it's nice to know that there are other people going through similar situations. Keep positive!! 2016 is our year.
