Official 2012 Fall RN admission frustration page

World Canada CA Programs

Published

Hi everyone,

So I figured I should start this page as many of us who are applying to nursing program for Fall 2012 are going to get really anxious soon. I personally am applying to Second entry nursing programs all around GTA and anxiously waiting to hear back from them.

Please feel free to share your thoughts and experiences as you wait for that mighty acceptance letter.

I got accpeted to UOIT yesterday! It is, of course, a conditional offer but nonetheless I am IN!

TobeNursey: You may hear back from them soon because I know about 2 weeks ago a girl in my class got an offer, and yesterday I got one so they are sending them out on an on-going basis. We probably will be in some of the same classes!! Good luck and keep us updated!

I just got accepted to both the BSCN and PN programs at St. Lawrence, and the fiance got accepted there for their medical lab science! It was the college of our choice, so now we can just chill out and accept our offers!

I contacted UOIT about the possibility of being accepted and it dosn't look good. The required average is 85%+ and I have an 83%. Also, they will not consider my Biology upgrade because it will not be completed until after May.

Oh well. My main reason for wanting to attend UOIT was for location anyway, not for the school itself. That laptop fee is ridiculous.

Yeah, I've heard nothing good about a lot of the nursing programs in the GTA. Benefits of applying to St. Lawrence were pretty good for me: smaller classes, 45 mins from my parents and family, cheap housing, and not having to compete with 100 bajillion teenagers for slots. In the end, it worked out splendidly.

I got an early acceptance to my college of choice for my back-up (the RPN program). I ended up with a 97% and an 87% for my pre-reqs by mid-terms so I will find out about my BScN application in two weeks. I can't wait!

Congrats on the back up! Good luck on the RN! I got accepted to my backup and have to wait until May 2nd to find out about the RN

Hey everyone! So, my waiting is over, I am starting BSN program at Douglas College next September. I wish good luck to those who are still waiting for "magic letters" and congratulations to everyone who is already in! :^)

Wooo I got accepted to St.Clair College BScN, Good luck to all those still waiting.

Just received my acceptance to the Lambton/Windsor BScN program! Great way to start the weekend :) Best of luck to all of those who are still waiting!

I got accepted to St. Lawrence (Brockville campus) for BScN program :w00t:. have been waiting for this moment since forever. I'm still waiting from Humber, Centennial, and george brown. I hope i will get in to one of these 'cause I prefer staying in Toronto with my family. Oh well, atleast I have this option. Can't wait to start!!! Congratulations and good luck to all!! :)

Oh my goodness, I'm so jealous that you guys are already getting your acceptances. Those of us who've applied for UFV in BC have just finished the bouts of information sessions and are beginning the nail biting interviews. I just had mine this afternoon and it went really well, so now my waiting game begins in its entirety, but none of us get to hear back until May 6th! This is going to be a very long 6 weeks, indeed.

You're dissing my birthplace young lady!

Brockville is a lovely little city and a great place to live. But I understand your wanting to stay close to your family.
