I can't check where you are located because I'm on my phone. But a nice cropped blazer or just a generalnot-a-suitjacket type of blazer is very popular in interviews these days. I have had friends grab some plus sized interview friendly/work wear from Penningtons and Addition-Elle in Canada, or Layne Bryant and Torrid in the states. Happy shopping!

Jacobyo -- I got in for the St Clair BSN Program too!! We made it

I got an early acceptance to my college of choice for my back-up (the RPN program). I ended up with a 97% and an 87% for my pre-reqs by mid-terms so I will find out about my BScN application in two weeks. I can't wait!

I applied in NOVEMBER for my BScN program! I find out sometimes in March... I'm ready to go nuts, I can't wait another month!

I got a letter today telling me I can expect to hear from them (St Clair College) BY March 30th. What a tease....

Wow your class is 40% male?! I haven't heard of a group that high, but I mean that in a good way. I know I'm only with half a dozen guys and they are totally the opposite - they help each other out as much as possible and exclude most of the girls. Luckily I managed to make friends with them so I help them and they help me.

Meriwhen - I think the mean element of the group was actually the one "queen bee". The other girls were actually just kind of dumb and ditzy! Either way, I think she referred to the group and didn't actually say that she had a bunch of really mean girls in her program.

I would just like to mention that I don't think the OP is calling the girls mean people. So before you turn it around and call her mean, I believe she is referring to the move "Mean Girls". The movie had a clique of three girls very pretty girls who were able to get away with whatever they wanted. The movie has an almost cult-like following in a certain age group. Never did she actually say they were mean girls! Haha.

One quick thing, is it "in tuned" or "in tune" with... I have always thought it was the latter.

My college of choice requires a 3.5 minimum from the same school's pre nursing program (in reference the the last sentence of the above post). I think the odds are stacked against you the second you do not enroll in nursing straight from highschool, or at least it appears...

I feel ya!! I applied the first week I could in November and won't hear anything until February. My marks are very good so I have the confidence that I'll get in, but in the meanwhile I'm hoping that there were no technical difficulties and that my current college sent all of my first semester marks. I'll be browsing AllNurses for the next month to make time go by... when there's no studying, of course!

Possibly. I think any time you remove the re-add George Brown they send you an application package. Within a few weeks of applying though you should get one, the letter said it is to be completed by any successful applicant that is not currently enrolled in a full-time highschool program.

I applied to George Brown as a third choice after the colleges in my city. I recieved a package in the mail from them mid-december, about two weeks after applying, asking me to submit a supplementary form on their website about experience, education, etc. Maybe that is the route they are taking instead of additional exams?

Like I said, many colleges require you to take a pre nursing program if you have been out of high school for more than a certain number of years. Just speaking from experience, there are friends of mine in my program that are 21 and had to take pre nursing because they were considered mature students. I am just suggesting pre nursing because it will take the "what if" factor. If you take a pre nursing program at your college and get the admission grades, you are in. No ifs ands or buts.
