Should i still get my prerequisite?
Gosh, you're making me feel old!Don't give up! I'm 27 (soon to be 28) and I just got into an RN program for September. I just finished a prehealth program and honestly, I wasn't the oldest person.I know how you feel. While all my friends are getting married, all own their own houses and have great careers, here I am renting, newly single and starting school from square one. BUT... I am motivated and will do it. You can too! So who cares about age, right?

Official 2012 Fall RN admission frustration page
I got accpeted to UOIT yesterday! It is, of course, a conditional offer but nonetheless I am IN! TobeNursey: You may hear back from them soon because I know about 2 weeks ago a girl in my class got an offer, and yesterday I got one so they are sending them out on an on-going basis. We probably will be in some of the same classes!! Good luck and keep us updated!

Mature adult - best options for program acceptance
I am a mature student and are taking the prehealth program. I highly recommend the prehealth since you have been out of school for some time now (Same here). I think that this year is preparing me for any demanding nursing program. I have applied for BScN and PN, neither program guarentees a seat, but with good grades that university or college will probably accept you over an outside student. I tried to do upgrading on my own but wow, so confusing! Good luck with whichever route you choose!

George Brown September 2012
I can't answer for sure but that's what my applications for a University and 1 college I've applied to. I think what it means is that they have your marks so now it's just desicion time. When it was pending, I think they just hadn't inputted your marks into their system or hadn't recieved them.

I applied to UOIT. It is nerve racking knowing even with good marks, its never a guarentee. I like Chem for the most part really, and Bio is so interesting. I can't stand Eng tho lol Good luck!

I'm not sure why highschool students get offers first either, a bit frustrating. Your marks are very good, definetly competitive! I know that as a pre health student, since I did not take bio or chem in highschool, I had to take bio and chem both semesters (Bio 1 & 2 and Chem 1 & 2) since 2 college credits equal to 1 uni credit. And that for PN programs they will take my last semesters or this semesters mid term marks but UOIT will average out both. Did you apply to PN or BScN? I would call the colleges or uni's you've applied to and ask them how they determine their acceptances just so you know exactly what you have to do or a deadline to have those courses completed! Good luck and congrats on the awesome grades!

Acceptances are only going out to highschool students (If I'm not mistaken) so any mature students or transfer students still have to wait :-( We probably will not know until March or even April... Thats what I have heard, well for UOIT, which is where I have applied to. @Galipemi - I don't mean to be the bearer of bad news but I'm pretty sure you will need to have these completed (along with high grades) before they would accept you. Yes you could very well receive a 'conditional offer' but that will probably only happen if your marks are very high. There are so many applicants for a limited amount of seats and a lot of people already have those competitive marks so they would probably get an offer before a person who does not have the credit yet. Sorry :-S Good luck to everyone!

I have questions about RN Program At Everest College in Ontario
I also think the OP is talking about Ontario, California because there are no RN programs offered by Everest College or any private colleges in Canada. Sorry I cannot help if that is the case.

Need help with Nursing Career Path
Hi Medica, Thats great you will be taking the gash program. I am a little stresses out but that because I am trying to balance school, work and just life. I know that getting great marks are really important so my stress is from that for the most part. But overall, its just your basics, math, bio, chem and so on. You have the option to take an elective (Im taking psyc) but there are tons of student who skipped it to focus on the pre reqs to get in. Good luck and keep in touch!

Need help with Nursing Career Path
Hi Medica, I actually dropped the ACE and applied for general arts and science health preparation and have started this fall. I found that the ACE, there wasn't much teaching. It's a kind of teach yourself and if you have a question, ask. So I did some research ( a lot on here!) and went for the GASH instead which I find much better so far! I have met some PN students in my psyc class that did the ACE route, but it just wasnt for me. Good luck with what you decide!
