Applied for RN and day LPN; accepted into day LPN

TEAS 88.2

Pre-Req GPA 3.4

Nothing done yet - no physical, no uniforms, no CPR nothing!!! Anyone want to do CPR together if possible?? Also, who wants to help me get together ~$1500 in the next 6w so I can pay for classes, books and the first month of $600/mo daycare?? :crying2: Ahhhhhh!!!

Oops, just edited my post. It is uniformhaven.com

Yesterday I called the nursing office about the no Scrub pant question, and she said mainly no drawstring and the same material as the top. I looked at the bookstore but they don't offer petite, so I purchased the Landau 8327 from uniformhaven. I would have preferred cargo pockets but was worried that those maybe too "scrub" like.:uhoh3:

I am going to buy the pants in person, I need to make sure they fit right. Scrub/uniform pants can be so oddly cut depending on the company! I think these are scrubs http://www.uniformhaven.com/7602.html and these are more uniform pants http://www.uniformhaven.com/u-9502.html I think they just have to look cleaner and more streamlined than cargo scrubs or whatever.

I hope I'm right! Just look at what the bookstore is selling. http://bookstore.phcc.edu/shop_product_detail.asp?mscssid=94069A917C0848108B8BA0D8706B08A6&catalog_group_id=OQ&catalog_group_name=TnVyc2luZyBTdXBwbGllcw&catalog_id=25&catalog_name=TnVyc2luZyBTdXBwbGllcw&pf_id=9GKHFQ8CREKNES8V2T6A&product_name=TnVyc2luZyBQYW50cw&type=1&target=shop_product_list.asp

oooh thanks long!

I just realized that I am about 15 minutes closer to the Dade City Campus. I wish we knew what campus we were going to be on sooner so we could choose classes. If I get West campus, I'll be taking A&PII, if I get East I'll be taking Microbiology (same times). August 3rd is so far away!

I am hoping for West Campus as I've already signed up for A&P II on Mon and Weds plus I live in Holiday so it would be a haul.

MJ, I really want West Campus, so if we get each others want to trade?? I heard from some nursing students after they assign your campus you can trade with another fellow RN student.

Sounds like a plan to me! I just hope we get opposing campuses, then. Not because I don't wanna meet you and have you in class, but so we can both be happy! :p

Girl. I need to shop pants in person, too. I am super tall and super thin and I can about guarantee I will look super SILLY in whatever I end up buying!

Where on earth are uniform stores? I am such a fool...lol :jester:

LOL! I know it would be nice to get what we want! :) I really need West Campus because my son goes to the pre-school on the West Campus so I have to drive there first anyway. BTW can't wait to meet you too! I feel like we've all really been through such a journey together and it's only starting..

I need WC not only for A&P believe me. I have two girls in Elementary in Holiday that I have to figure how to pick up and drop off with a mother who could help but acts like it's a great inconvienence(eventhough honestly she has no life). So if anyone wants to swap with me that would be grea too.

Krista

Well, if either of you get East and I get West, I'll be happy to trade with someone. I'm sure we will all be at orientation and can work it out then. Maybe we'll draw straws ;) As for Brass Tap, I have a friend coming in from out of town so I can't make it this weekend. I know I'm so lame! But I think we were talking about next Friday anyway?

Opinions on pants, please. I don't really care how much they cost as long as they are long enough and look cute :)

I kind of like these. Thoughts?? Thanks! (only, in white, of course)

I think I prefer EC because it is familiar but I will take what I get and may be pursuaded to swap if someone really needs/wants what I have--I have my kids all sorted and have for months...I *am* a planner.:nurse:
