Applied for RN and day LPN; accepted into day LPN

Pre-Req GPA 3.4
Nothing done yet - no physical, no uniforms, no CPR nothing!!! Anyone want to do CPR together if possible?? Also, who wants to help me get together ~$1500 in the next 6w so I can pay for classes, books and the first month of $600/mo daycare?? Ahhhhhh!!!
Just found out I'll be on East :) The woman in the nursing department told me she hadn't gotten my acceptance letter yet (I only sent it out yesterday) but she said if you live in Wesley Chapel, you'll be going to East campus. And welcome Isiah! We will definitely coordinate something soon.
MJ...just found out the same. I live in East Pasco and was told our clinicals will be Florida Hospital Zephyrhills or Pasco Regional in Dade City. She said "trading" is possible, but less likely this year. That has to be worked out around orientation. Also...orientation packets went out today if your letters are already back in.
Happy to have found this thread, so I can officially say, "I'm in!": accepted for the RN program!
I didn't realize it would be West or East campus. I'll have to check on that tomorrow when I return (by hand - not trusting the mail!) my letter for acceptance. West is definitely more convenient for me...and I'd trade out to get it if possible!
I did CPR back in March w/ PHCC (NCH0050) - don't stress or worry - it is not hard! Titers/immunizations done (for another school). Already have my stethoscope (black edition Littman cardio), shoes (K-Swiss) & misc (bandage scissors, watch, etc.). So, I guess I'll be asking for gift certificates to nursing uniform stores for my birthday (2 days before classes start)! Better read up on what's permissible. Left to do: physical and background check.
I'd love to meet up if someone plans a get-together (or several) before semester starts.
I found out I'm going to be at West Campus! I went up to the 2nd floor in the M building where the Nursing Dept. is and asked the lady at the desk because I told her I need to be at West because my son goes to the daycare on West Campus. So she said let me see where they have you and she said West! But the only issue I'm having is we will have clinicals at 6:30 am two days a week and my son's school doesn't open until 7 am! So I have to figure that out.FLbrowneyedgirl, where did you get your titers done and how much? I have to get mine done too because I have no idea where my medical records are either.
Yay for getting the campus you want :)
I will find out how much when they bill me (lol, sorta) because I still have umbrella coverage from my ex. I went to Florida Medical Clinic in Lutz. My doc is in the same buidling. Who posted something about $250?? That's harsh. There has to be something like a health department for people in need, right? Or am I delusional...

At least I will have the comfort of attending the same campus I am familiar with for a semester :) I sent my acceptance on Saturday. I wonder if they got it? hmmm...although....read below...
My major has been changed on wise, so this leads me to think they have everything because last I saw, I was transient. Have any of you checked wise?
Congrats to our newbies (although I recognize scrapworking--I need to get psycho on your scores to add to my database, lol) and welcome!!
I went to the Pinellas County Health Department (I work in Pinellas) charged me $111.74 the first time for:
Hep B (1st in series) $43.00
Titers:
Rubeola $16.25
Rubella $18.12
Varicella $18.75
Mumps $15.62
Second visit (30 days later) was for the 2nd Hep B $43.00, so I imagine the third/last one due in October will also be $43.00.
I'll have to check and see what they charge for a physical, since they already have all my immunization records on file (though I have copies too). If it's high, I'll shop around.
Titer results take 30 days with most health departments, so don't wait too long!
HTH!
