Applied for RN and day LPN; accepted into day LPN

TEAS 88.2

Pre-Req GPA 3.4

Nothing done yet - no physical, no uniforms, no CPR nothing!!! Anyone want to do CPR together if possible?? Also, who wants to help me get together ~$1500 in the next 6w so I can pay for classes, books and the first month of $600/mo daycare?? :crying2: Ahhhhhh!!!

Accepted to RN and both LPN programs.

GPA: 4.0

TEAS: 88.2%

I am so excited! I would definitely be willing to do CPR! I kind of want to buy stuff soon so that it's not such a huge blow in August. I'm afraid if I buy shoes, though, what if they don't allow them? Do they have to be all white or do they have to be a specific type? And watches and stethoscopes and all that...

Oh, BTW, I told myself that, if I got into NS, I would pay for a premium membership as a thanks to allnurses.com for keeping me sane and entertained through this whole thing! And I know it will be invaluable while in NS and after!

Accepted for evening/weekend LPN

TEAS: 87.1

I don't think this summer can go by fast enough! Classes start on my birthday too, so what a great present! I did my CPR on campus back in March but still need to do a physical and such. Do we need vaccinations before classes start? I have no health insurance so I need to figure out cost and where to go get this stuff done asap.

Kudos to everyone on their acceptances!

Accepted into the RN program (only one to which I applied)

GPA: 4.0

TEAS: 88.2

I am beyond enthralled at this opportunity. I have worked diligently towards this day, and am so excited to embark on this new adventure with everyone!!! I CANNOT wait until classes commence in August!!!! To all of the people who are concerned about paying for the expenses associated with the program, have you all looked into financial aid/student loans? I am fortunate enough as a veteran to receive the GI bill which covers my cost of tuition and fees....although, I believe I will have to come out of pocket for uniforms and equipment, and perhaps some books (because my stipend is only 500 for textbooks).

As far as meeting at Brass Tap this evening, that would be awesome! However, I am not too sure I would be able to make it, since my youngest sister is leaving for the Naval Academy on Tuesday and I am trying to spend as much time as possible with her. Perhaps we can schedule more things in the future?!

Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy everyone :) :) :) :) :yeah:

WHAT an accomplishment!

I am still keeping my fingers crossed for all of those who are pending word!

Another quick question--are you guys mailing your response form back to the school or dropping it off yourself? Call me paranoid, but I have a fear of it getting lost in the mail and not knowing the school didn't receive it! :uhoh3:

Yeah... just got word that it's gonna be a late night at the office :( So no BT for me tonight. How about we reschedule for another weekend because it seems like everyone had something pop up tonight! The full moon is tomorrow, after all lol. That is such a bummer because I was just telling my bf that I wanted to try some fruity beer

Does anyone know anything about shoes or stethoscopes or anything? I want to start buying things soon.

P.S. I just found an even better vomit icon!:barf02:

I am mailing mine in. I thought about how it could get lost in the mail, but you know... We got in. If we don't get a confirmation letter sent back to us by like... July 5th, I'll be driving down there to see what is up. But, we got the letters in the mail, they'll get them, too :) No more anxiety!

I am so beyond thrilled to let you all know that I have been accepted into both RN and LPN days:hpygrp:

I will be declining LPN, so there's an open spot for some deserving candidate!

This is such a relief. I am overjoyed.

NURSING STUDENT!!!

LPN Days...holding out for an RN seat or HCC Spring RN seat...88.8, 3.77, and Pasco resident

OK so NO BRASS TAP TONIGHT. How about Friday night, August 6th? That will be after orientations and we can chatter on and on about all we learned and have to look forward to?? Or is that too far away? Next week is the 4th weekend, so we could do July 9th if people want to meet sooner. Or both. I'm open!

Hey All congrats on getting in! So I got a PM from someone (you know who you are) but I can't PM back yet. So you need your CPR card to walk into clinicals so get it before classes start. On East campus they weren't real particular about shoes white all over (maybe a little colored icon or something). Some people had sneakers and others nurse mates...I don't think they are that particular. Stethoscopes get a good one... it is not the place to cut costs you need to hear the right stuff! Watches that can count seconds so you can do respiratory and heart rates. Mine had a black band and no-one ever said anything about it. Get your physical done ASAP as soon as your packet comes (after you send in your acceptance letter) because vaccine titers take some time to get back. You must have TB test and Proof of immunity to Varicella, Hep B, Measles, etc (by titer or vaccine) before clinicals start. Umm I am sure I missed a question, just let me know....Congrats to all again!:yeah:
