Hi Everyone,

I received my RN acceptance letter yesterday. Can't wait to meet you all at orientation!

Melissa

Congrats Melissa!!! See you at orientation!

Accepted into both North and West campus for LPN. I'm accepting the West campus.

TEAS: 85.3

By North I mean East. My sense of direction is OFF today lol

Congratulations Alicia3! I'm sure you are soooo excited just like the rest of us! Your orientation is the 4th from 8-12 I think?

You're right, I'm so so so excited! I'm reading that handbook right now and looking at stethoscopes, watches and shoes :D I'm not a 'shopper' usually but I can't wait!

There is SO much info to take in.

I already bought my white shoes! Reebok On the Clock is the name... On sale at JCPenney for $35 and it's actually pretty comfortable. I think I'm going to get a Littmann Classic II SE in Orange or something because I know many women will be getting pink lol. I love pink but I gotta have mine stand out! As for watches, I read in the handbook that it has to be a sweeping-second-hand, but those are so hard to find.

I don't even know what they mean by Sweeping Second hand. I was thinking of the Littmann II in Raspberry (the hot pink, not baby pink one) or Seafoam Green. Green is my favorite color so I'm leaning more toward the green.

Those shoes look like they have great support! I was almost thinking about buying a pair of NurseMates in Alberta

Alberta - White - Nurse Mates Womens

but I've never heard of them before I read the handbook.

Those shoes look really good. I think they recommend Nurse Mates but I just saw the ones I got on sale and I don't have the most $$$ haha. So far allheart.com looks like it has the best prices for the stethoscopes. I love green too, but I wish they had an emerald green color. I would be all over that!

ooh good find on the website! checking that out right now.

i'd be alllll over a kelly green. seafoam is nice but i'm afraid i'll get bored with it since it's kind of subdued.

i hear ya on the money. i'm worried about how i'm going to come up with it all in time.

Sweeping second hands are ones that move smoothly around the dial instead of ticking. I hope we don't really need one of those because they are ridiculous to find... Which campus do you hope to be on?
