October NCLEX takers: MOTIVATE

Nursing Students NCLEX

If you are taking NCLEX in October as I am here is a place to get motivated. As of today you have approximately 4-8 weeks to prepare for this life changing test. That is more than enough time if you haven't started yet.

Now crack open whatever review book you have and hit it because now is the time to begin. Start typing :typing those review sheets, looking over rationales start with the stuff you know you need help with and feel like :banghead: because by the end of your study time you'll be up to the stuff you do know and you'll hopefully feel more comfortable at test time... or maybe you won't.

Anybody else motivating tips, or study tips for NCLEX

I'm also taking my NCLEX-RN in October. Right now, I am enrolled in a Kaplan review course scheduled to begin next week. In the meantime, I am doing questions on the Kaplan QBank, the Question Trainers and reading the Lippincott book.

Right now it feels rather overwhelming. So much content and no idea exactly where to begin.

good afternoon to all the Octoberian's :)

I have a little story here, I finished LPN school in 2005, I failed the NCLEX the first time, I was so upset, but I though I got it next time, there was no next time, I joined the Army, ended up meeting the love of my life in basic training, how crazy is that, a year later I was pregnant with our first child, I got discharged, my husband stayed in, but here I was no career and pregnant, my husband got deployed and I felt like I had failed in everything, my daughter turned 2 last april I decided it was time , here I was with a bunch of review books, my husband was about to get out of the military, he supported me for 4 years and I felt it was my turn to help,4 years later I went back to take the NCLEX, I just found out I passed, if I can do it you guys can, I did it 4 years later :D

hi, will be taking the exam too on Oct 2, i have saunders, exam cram, La charity and bought the NCSBN review, hopefully we all pass the exam, May God bless us all..anyway, thanks for starting this thread for the october testakers..

PRACTICE TESTS AFTER PRACTICE TESTS!!! Good luck everyone!!!

Well sunflowerross I just found out I failed for the 3rd time and it is devastating! Ive have studied, studied, studied. And despite my disappointment I have improved on each test so I am claiming that this will be my last time. I can retest at the end of Oct. Gotta come up with 265 again and face my co-workers. Pray for me everyone!

Sunflowerross and luckygirl09 I just want you to know that you guys are not alone in the quest to pass nclex. It is so hard to go through this exam. Just don't give up. I am down and have been down since my first attempt. I am going to go for another crack at it very soon. If you are improving each time then you will succeed very soon. I will be lurking around in these threads to offer my support. I believe that we all deserve to pass and we will. Keep your focus. You guys are already RN's in my book. Now, get back to studying.:D
