NYU Spring 2015 ABSN

Published

Hi everyone! I'm applying for the NYU Spring 2015 ABSN program and haven't been able to find any threads about the program yet. Feel free to post questions you have or to share information about the program, your personal stats, advice for writing the personal statement or just to say hi. Here's to speedy acceptances and a fun future in nursing! :)

My Stats:

Just graduated from Brooklyn College with a B.S. in Psychology and an overall GPA of 3.38

Got an A in almost all the pre-reqs, don't know the pre-req GPA

Volunteered as an EMT for 4 years and worked for 2 years

Worked as a Direct Care Worker for 1 year

Volunteer in Methodist Hospital in the Stepdown Unit

I WAS ACCEPTED!!! I'm so happy! I'm not sure if I'll attend though because I was also accepted to Felician College and it's half the price. I went to NYU for undergrad and the experience is definitely worth the price but I don't know if it's worth the price twice for two degrees, lol.

Congrats everyone else who was accepted!

Hello everyone! I have been following this thread for some time now, but have not yet registered. Just wanted everyone to know that I got ACCEPTED today. I am from Dallas Texas and have a 3.53 GPA if anyone is interested. Good luck to all of you!

What state do you live in?

Congrats to everyone! I also received my acceptance this morning. Does anyone know when in january the nursing program starts?

I'm pretty sure the start date is January 25!

Hey so now that you know that you're in what are you going to do? I have to make a decision between NYU and Creighton? I actually thinking about staying in NYC since all my family is here and I know a few people that can get me into an ICU here.

Some heavy thinking is about to go down. I was cynical at first, but now that I'm in I'm finding ways of arguing that the price might be worth it. It would be really lovely to have the name of such a prestigious university supporting your career. Oh gosh you guys!

I have to decide between in-state tuition at rutgers or NYU. I already have undergraduate loans so this is definitely going to be a tough choice. I attended an info session for NYU where I fell in love with the program... thank goodness we have a couple weeks to decide!

Congratulations to those who got in!

I hear you on the decision process, I think in the long run that choosing NYU would be a better choice. While I'm not a fan of choosing things because of the name, I do believe that if you want to go on to pursue graduate education that having a more prestigious name on your resume would take you a lot further.

@ spaceshuttleboy. i believe you also applied to JHU, are you withdrawing or still going to be in applicant pool
