Hi guys! Thought I'd make a forum for NYU's ABSN Program for fall 2020.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Alexis Paige. Currently in California. I received my BA in psych from a private university with a GPA below 3.0. Took pre-reqs in multiple community college while working. Ended up with the same GPA as undergrad ?
Here's my stats:
Anatomy: C (planning to retake in spring 2020)
Physio: A-
Microbio: C+ (planning to retake in spring 2020)
Chem for health sciences: C+
Nutrition: A
Stats: C
Lifespan dev: B
Volunteer experience at Stanford University. Do you think I have chance with NYU? I feel like my only hope in getting in are the letter of recs + personal essay.
Feel free to comment whatever is on your mind. What are your stats? Where are you from and what other schools will you be applying at? Help a sistah out!

My portal showed that I am admitted at 1pm NYC time & I received an email at 4pm NYC time.
MY STATS:
GPA: 3.7-3.8
A&P 1: A
A&P 2: A
Lifespan Development: A
Statistics: B+
Chemistry I: B+
Microbio & Nutrition: In progress
I volunteered at a hospital the whole Summer 2019, went on a mission trip to Peru in 2018, studied abroad for a semester, worked at a preschool for 3 years, was on an executive board for a menstrual health club, was a peer educator for health wellness at my school, did freelance photography for 3 years/worked at Lush for a Summer. I think what got me in was my essay & my letter of recommendation being from a STEM professor I built a strong bond with!!
Again, good luck everyone ? I was waiting for so long and it was a relief hearing back. You guys will too because I thought I would NEVER hear back. Haha. Can’t wait to be in student debt though and possibly start online!!

Based on previous threads, people have been rejected around this time. So unless someone knows for sure, this is all a guessing game for all. I'm assuming that some rejections may go out within the next couple weeks but who knows.

Thankyou!
I checked my portal at 1pm today (Friday 5/1/2020) and saw that I was transferred to an admitted student’s portal and has the option to accept/decline. I received an admissions update email though at 4pm where they officially gave me my acceptance letter!
