Thought it might be a good idea to follow up on my application to check for new transcripts or other required documents. FIRST TIME I've REACHED OUT. Was given such a cold and rude answer of how I need to be patient and how they receive applications from ALLLLL over the world so I shouldn’t contact them. I would try to explain the reason why I’m calling (it they need any other info for my app) and was RUDELY cut off about how I need to wait. Very disappointed in the institution that I always had high expectation for. It almost makes me regret giving almost all my attention toward a program that can’t even take one minute to give a polite answer to an applicant that has been waiting since the beginning of March. Oh by the way they don’t give out timelines of application reviews. So if you received a date, it’s not accurate. I wouldn’t suggest calling about it and if u do, I hope you don’t get the same person who answered my call.

Does anyone know if we need to pay and send another transcript once this semester is over if we are completing prereqs now? I've already sent 2 transcripts over and I really don't want to spend more money to send another one over. My guess is that we probably do but was wondering if anyone has any experience or an educated guess about this?

Based on previous threads, people have been rejected around this time. So unless someone knows for sure, this is all a guessing game for all. I'm assuming that some rejections may go out within the next couple weeks but who knows.

It honestly doesn't mean much, it basically means that your application is getting reviewed. My checklist disappeared two weeks ago and I haven't heard anything back. So I decided not to think too much into the checklist disappearing and try to let go some of the anxiety.

Congratulations! That is so exciting to be heading back already. Can I ask when you submitted your application?

On previous threads, people have applied awhile before the march 1st deadline and still heard back in May. Not sure if there was special circumstances for them but its a possibility that it could be later. But on a positive note, it is also possible you could hear back in April, all a waiting game.

According to previous threads, it will vary between around the first - second week of April until June. Some people got lucky and heard back as soon as the second week of April but some people who submitted way before the priority deadline heard back as late as the last week of May. I really don't understand how the applications get viewed but they seem to not care whether you have deadlines for other schools. Many people called but was told the decision could not be sped up because they have an acceptance deadline for other schools. Basically implying if you choose other schools it almost makes it easier for them to just add someone else. It sucks for a lot of people considering NYU as their first choice and it is one of the few colleges who accept as late as June.

According to the previous threads, it's more LIKELY to hear back sooner but people who have put in applications way before the priority have heard back in June. I'm not sure how the process goes but June is the latest we would hear back. It just difficult for those who have other acceptances due to deposits being due. Just a waiting game!

Nope but I did receive an email that my transcripts have been received by NYU by the schools I sent them from. I'm hoping this does not affect my application.

I sent it directly to them as well because it said that we can send them to the email or the school so I will also be giving them a call tomorrow as well. Hopefully it's fine for the both of us!

@ToBeANurse I haven’t tried but i have been reading the previous threads on ABSN Spring 2020 and people submitted way before the priority deadline. There may be something wrong w the common app. I would give NYU a call just in case to check.

Hi everyone, Decided last week to attempt to apply to NYU despite the tuition costs. Having a nightmare trying to figure out the correct prerequisites that NYU will accept. Does anyone know how recommendation letters should sent in? Hope we can all keep each other updated! Good luck to all
