Hi guys! Thought I'd make a forum for NYU's ABSN Program for fall 2020.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Alexis Paige. Currently in California. I received my BA in psych from a private university with a GPA below 3.0. Took pre-reqs in multiple community college while working. Ended up with the same GPA as undergrad ?
Here's my stats:
Anatomy: C (planning to retake in spring 2020)
Physio: A-
Microbio: C+ (planning to retake in spring 2020)
Chem for health sciences: C+
Nutrition: A
Stats: C
Lifespan dev: B
Volunteer experience at Stanford University. Do you think I have chance with NYU? I feel like my only hope in getting in are the letter of recs + personal essay.

@Amanda20 do you know if they have designated days for acceptances or rejections or just comes in waves? How early did you apply?
No sorry I don't know honestly, but I think I accidentally applied to the priority deadline which is why I heard so early? Or is it just if you apply before that March 1st deadline rather than the April 1st?
I applied back in January but they didn't receive my transcripts until last minute.
I think I remember reading from this thread that they do it in bundles and then when people don't place their deposit in time or decide not to accept, they'll accept more people. I'm just curious to know how many people they accept in comparison to how many people apply
My checklist disappeared last night but I got an email today asking for my official ap scores sent to nyu so I think it just means that they’re reviewing your app!
Has anyone else received an acceptance/denial update today? I’m rooting for us all to get in at this point! It’s really really bad (staffing wise) in a lot of hospitals due to Covid. I work for a major one here in NYC and we’re beyond understaffed! I can only imagine this would increase the number of seats in nursing programs across the board. More importantly I hope everyone is staying safe and well!
Hi Lela! From your mouth to Gods ears! I’ve been saying since this started that I think they should open more doors for incoming students who want to be on the frontlines. It seems we’re all willing to do whatever it takes. Thanks for the positive vibes . I’m rooting for us too! ???
Just coming on here to say that I received an acceptance letter today! I am super excited!! I applied to NYU and Phillips Mt Sinai but I have yet to hear back from Mt Sinai. So excited that I got accepted and am finally over the anxiety of waiting!
