Nyu Accelerated BSN spring 2014

Hello everyone! I made this thread in order to find everyone is also also planning on applying NYU accelerated nursing program. The application for the spring opens on October 1st and I am so excited! :)

do you guys know if nyu is good with scholarships for absn? (not loans) it's like 80k tuition alone.. :(

There's a generic college of nursing scholarship that almost every student in our class got. For me it was $5000/yr or 2500 each semester (all 4 semesters). Some folks in our class got a little bit more (2750-3k/semester). There are other scholarships you can apply for generally they have certain criteria/requirements/stipulations and selection processes.

That is nice, at least some help money wise, I never took loans but don't mind doing so for my dream school

For those that have submitted applications already, has NYU processed your application fee yet? I submitted it a week ago and they still haven't, I guess it means that they might not have started looking at apps yet?

Yeah they have. It took about 2-3 weeks for me.

Hey guys, I also applied by oct 1st and am in the waiting game..Im from socal and got into csusm absn but really want to go to nyu! it looks like from the other forums that nyu starts sending out acceptances by the first week of nov! good luck to everyone who is applying :)

Congrats on your acceptance to CSUSM ABSN program. I'm from SoCal as well and I really hope that we all get into the program suzyjacuzy. One question, how do you know that they send out acceptances by the first week of November?

Hey guys, under application status, I have check marks next to the transcripts sent but they are all in grey, shaded box and won't let me click on it. Does this mean they received them all?

Yes, that means they received it. You wont be able to click on anything, even if i was not checked off.

I sent money order long ago and it has a check mark next to it, but since its not a bank check not sure if it got processed..

I really hope we all get in too, this is actually my first year of really trying (but as everybody else already just want to be in program since it took long to go through prereqs etc), so will see how it goes...

PS to answer ur question you can tell from the posts earlier that the letters of decision are sent Tuesd Thursd starting october 23rd...till upto january

They definitely have your application fee check. How long ago (how many weeks ago) did you send your application fee check? It took me about 3-31/2 weeks to process it from the day I sent it to the office
