Nyu Accelerated BSN spring 2014

Hello everyone! I made this thread in order to find everyone is also also planning on applying NYU accelerated nursing program. The application for the spring opens on October 1st and I am so excited! :)

Hi Everyone - I am currently admitted into ABSN program finishing prerequs at NYU this semester and will be starting the 15-month ABSN portion in the Spring. I don't know exactly when but the Nursing school is actually moving to a brand new state of the art building with the school of Dentistry in the east 30s (Kips Bay). I am excited about the new, consolidated environment but sad to be leaving downtown and Washington Square. I think it is as early as this Spring but probably more like the Fall.

Lucky you!!! Congrats!!! I was past due to apply last semester so I'm trying this.. NYU has a lot of property & they build new every day, so it's nice & fresh labs & new machines are much better anyway..

For some reason very little people in this thread.. Used to be more, nobody is anxious? I called admissions & they said the decisions r starting November 15! I might have to accept other offers, I can't wait that long:( it used to be November 3rd!

Well, I'm sure people are either anxious, got accepted somewhere else, or just don't know about this thread lol. If you have been accepted somewhere and the deadline to accept the offer is before it, then you are going to have to make the toughest decision of either accepting it or wait to hear from NYU. I have been reading past threads and sometimes offers extend up to mid December!

Congratulations! How is that area? I've never been in New York before. Hopefully we can meet and help each other out with studying if I get accepted!

I will just send deposit to the other school to make sure I have a spot, I was choosing between Colorado PA or DC... I chose DC... But of course if I find out that I'm accepted to nyu, I wd just accept theirs with closed eyes ;-)) so waiting anxiously!

@realdream yeah I've noticed this thread gets little attention, especially compared to other semesters/threads..Thanks for letting us know they will start acceptances around nov 15..Im in the same boat with other school offers. They are on top of things and asking for deposits/background checks/classes/etc and the fees are adding up so quick (while Im eagerly waiting for NYU)/. Nyu is my dream school and I would love to be a part of the city.

I hope we all hear some good news!! Good luck to all!!! Does anyone have prereqs left. I have not taken develop. psych and nutrition yet (easiest of the bunch)

It's going as well as can be expected lol. I'm very anxious because my overall GPA isn't so impressive as I completed my undergraduate B.S. in psychology 2 years ago. I'm also still in the process of taking two pre reqs at a local community college. how about yourself?

I'm in the same boat as you I have little hopes too, but we should try and stay positive and hope for the best :nurse:. Hopefully we both can get in and I am hoping that possibly maybe less people apply for the spring semester and it increases my chances lol. I read on previous threads that people began to find out as early as November 3rd. So fingers crossed.

I'm currently in the process of taking chemistry and nutrition now and hope to start NYU in January! Its my number one choice especially since most accelerated programs in my area start in June/July and NYU is one of the only accelerated programs in my area I found that starts in January.
