Nyu Accelerated BSN spring 2014

Published

Hello everyone! I made this thread in order to find everyone is also also planning on applying NYU accelerated nursing program. The application for the spring opens on October 1st and I am so excited! :)

Hey everyone. I just applied to the Spring 2014 cycle earlier this morning. I have some questions if anyone can help answer it for me:

1. How do I confirm whether or not the admissions office got my transcripts & letter of recommendation? This is because I got the "confirmation notification" with my personal email that I applied to the program but I don't know how to track everything.

2. In addition to #1, how do I pay the application fee and know if it is received? This is because when I applied, the application never asked for my credit card number or fee payment. Do I just email a check to the admissions office regardless of the fact that they didn't ask for it?

Call the nursing admission's office and ask them for your "N" number. After obtaining your N number, you can log into NYU Albert where you can check your application status. The application fee can be paid by money order or personal checks. Send either one by mail to the nursing admissions office. Online payments are not available. It will be wise to put your the application number on the envelope. It will make it easier for them to identify you.

Hello, I just applied to the Spring 2014 semester at NYU. I'm also applying to Stony Brook and Concordia for the fall 2014 semester. I will keep you guys posted on whether I get accepted or not.

About the application fee and required documents, I called NYU and they told me that they identify everyone by their name and address including recommendation letters. So everything that you send to the school should have the same return address.

Thanks I appreciate it. I actually put a tracking number on my check in which it should arrive sometime the end of this week as well as my letter of recommendations and transcripts (coming from California). I just hope that everything arrives and processed before the priority deadline. As of now, it is just a waiting game for me and I'm just as excited and nervous as everyone else here because of the different types of backgrounds/credentials.

I am applying to the Spring 2014 program too! Good luck all :)!

Thanks you too! I hope that we all get in. I'm just waiting to hear back from them. I called the admissions office last week and they told me that everything has been received. They just need to deposit my application fee check, send me my temporary I.D., and go through my application. The next 21/2-3 months are scary....

I called the Nursing's office the other day and the lady said they will start sending decisions by mid-november or by the end of october. All my documents have been processed so its just a matter of time now. Lol Im not good at waiting. Lets hope for the best.

That's pretty soon if it's end of October. I was told that this is the time where there are a lot of applications being submitted. We'll see. I'm on the same boat with you Jayblade. I'm nervous/excited. I really hope we all get in just so we can say that we did it and worked for it regardless of the difficulties that we've been through.

I applied also for the January 2014 semester!!! Does anyone know where or how you can track you application progress online???

Thanks!

Within 3 weeks of officially receiving all of the required documents, you should received a NYU NetID to check your application status. I got mine today (Oct 1) around 739am (Pacific Time).

I've been stalking all of the NYU Accelerated BSN threads from previous years and I'm so happy to see one for Spring 2014! I sent my in app in September and received my Albert login today. So nervous! Anyone know when they start notifying regular decision applicants? I tried to apply by the priority deadline but, unfortunately couldn't get my transcripts and rec letters in on time.

I think we'll start knowing by mid/late November. Since you got your Albert login as well, are you able to check the "Application Status"? I was able to do it earlier today but when I logged on, I can't click the "Application Status" link. Not sure if it's just a small error I need to contact IT for or not...

Hi guys. I just submitted the application for the priority deadline. I was expected to pay $70 application fee but I didn't get charged. Instead, once I clicked "submit," it went through without paying. Did any of you guys have to pay?
