hello all,
First off congratulations to those who have made it to NYU!! I applied two days before the March 1st deadline, so still waiting ( and am sure not likin' it). I got an email last week asking for my mid-term grades for this semester, did anyone else receive that too? I don't know what to make out of it though, I was just happy that my file wasnt in a shredder :)
For those of you who have already received your accepatnce letter, did you also receive anything for scholarship or financial aid? ( They didnt have a seperate application for scholarship/fin aid as far as I can remember) so I was just wondering how they are going to determine the eligibility?
Good luck!
Hi, did Ya'll apply for any particular scholarship application? I remember reading on the application that there wasnt any separate application if we wanted to be considered for any scholarship. But again I might have missed it as I was rushing through writing those essays at the last hour. I still havent heard anything,I am kinda giving up congratulations all of you who got in!!!
Congrats to all that got into NYU!!! I submitted my application way back in December and still waiting for a response. Waiting is the hardest part! For those who have been accepted what is the deadline for you send in your deposit/ letting them know you will be attending. Also did anyone receive any rejection notices from NYU? Rejected or accepted I'm going crazy not knowing !!!
Hey Alicia09 we are in the same boat. I'm keeping my fingers crossed us and all others that are waiting.

Congratulations LaurelMarie! Moving completely across country will definitely be an exciting change, NYC is obviously going to be a huge adjustment from Seattle, but I'm sure you will love everything that NYC and the east coast has to offer! Is NYU housing an option for you? I don't know how good school's living arrangements are, but at least you would be guaranteed to be close to classes and with other students who might be coming from different states as well. Like I said, I have not decided for sure if I will go to NYU this fall, but I will probably try to live with a friend of mine who lives in Lower Manattan if I do. I was also hoping to hear the experiences of former or current students of the accelerated program, perhaps there is another thread where we can get some insight!
Thanks on the congrats Blackhorizon! Yes you are right, the NYU tuition is definitely NOT CHEAP, which is something I am taking into consideration...good luck with SUNY, I hear that's a great program as well, and much more economical :wink2: The other schools I applied to are Villanova (both the 2 yr and the 14 month accelerated program), which is also pretty pricey, and Seton Hall. I missed the application deadlines for a few others I was considering, but I think I'll be happy wherever I end up! Luckily I don't have any more loans to pay back from undergrad so I figure this career change might be worth whatever temporary debt I throw myself into...haha.
