Have you tried community nursing? I'm not just talking VSNY. They are not the only home based agency. Try applying to shelters,clinics, correction, and community based programs. Have you tried to reaching out to any of your clinical professors at Malloy?

Have you gone on any interviews? Have you attended any career fairs?

I agree with a lot of what you guys are saying. Every nurse was a new grad at some point. Everyone deserves a chance. For those of you in nursing school, introduce yourself to people on the unit while you are doing your clinical rotations. Don't be afraid to ask for a business card. Ask questions and show interest. Identify the nurse manager and introduce yourself. You can even talk about the hiring process. Good luck!

Okay soooo I applied in DECEMBER..... all prereqs are done..... Is there anyone that have not graduate and still received their accpetance letter? Let me know. Does anyone know the method to this madness? Do they accept those who applied the latest and work their way back? What is up with this batch system? Expat, is there a trick that we don't know about? I've heard some people getting news over the phone. I wonder what is the secret code to find out? Also, do you think it is possible for us to have them put a rush on our apps? Like the next time they meet, have our 2 applications on the top of the pile. Wouldn't that be great! Those of you that got accepted Congrats again! And the torture continues for Expathopeful and Cupcake2 and all others that are still waiting

Still waiting... anything i should know about? Who should I speak to??? I really want to know what is going on with my application. I applied before many of you and I still haven't heard a response. It is not fair!!! Just needed to vent a little...:angryfire Can anyone out there help me ???

Hey ExpatHopeful, I feel your pain! I sent my application waaaaaaaaaaaay back in December and stil NOTHING. I don't even think they looked at my application yet!
