Hey, this is super duper early but I figured we could get some questions, fears, or concerns talked through until March 1, 2021, for priority or April 1, 2021, for the regular decision to NYU's ABSN 15 month program for non-nurses. Please don't be afraid, Please share stats if you are comfortable doing so. It really does help cohorts after us figure out strengths and weaknesses to be better applicants. Hey, after all, It's all about helping each other out at the end of the day, right! Don't be shy, talk about where you're from and things you may be worried about for the application process. As well as other schools you might be applying for!
I just checked mine and got a status update that I was not accepted, so they are posting some decisions today! Hopefully some acceptances as well, good luck everyone!

I also received my rejection. Unfortunately, this was the only program that I applied to as of right now because they do not require labs. I took Microbiology and Physiology during my undergrad at UC Irvine, however, it was only the lecture portion and most nursing programs require a lab component as I am sure most of you know LOL. I was really hoping I would get accepted to NYU so I wouldn't have to repeat both courses JUST for a 1-2 credit lab but here we are ?. With that being said, I was curious about taking Microbiology + lab online through Portage Learning and was wondering if anyone has taken courses through Portage Learning and if they recommend it?? I want to get both these courses done this Summer so I can apply like crazy this upcoming fall for several programs and maybe even NYU again for Spring 2022!
Receiving a rejection sucks, but just know we are ALL bad b*tches? regardless of our admission decision. We are ALL capable of becoming amazing nurses and everything happens for a reason. The universe could be guiding some of us to a different school where we might flourish more and meet incredible people. I was also rejected! I'm already registered for classes elsewhere so I was really waiting just to wait. Congratulations to those that were accepted and hugs to everyone that were rejected or wait listed ❤️ May we all meet on the floor one day as nurses
