Hello.
I recently applied for a new grad position at NYP and I got an email saying my app is currently "being considered" for the new grad opportunity and they will "contact me within the next 2 weeks regarding next step/status etc".
Does that mean I have a chance to land an interview, or is it what everyone gets after they apply?
It was not a computer generated email.....but an email from an actual person......
Any feedbacks will be greatly appreciated! Thank you :)
Me and my friend went to the new grad event at columbia last month together....my friend got an interview after the event!!! (I forgot which unit but it was from one of those units we saw at the event)
In the meantime, I am still waiting to hear some sort of an answer either way...........
Shadowness...my messages didnt go through because the site says I need to have 15 threads going before I can use PM; new policy I guess. All I was going to say was that I went to an event held by NYP on June 12th and didn't hear from the nurse recruitment team until July 22nd so it was a bit of a wait but obviously well worth it

Yeah, I'm not sure why they had a whole event if they don't have any positions available. Mine was for the Children's hospital. It's just frustrating that they're like "we see that you're a good candidate, we're just waiting on spots," which I'm sure is the case for a lot of us. Getting in touch with HR was a pain. I called the main number for the Columbia campus then asked for nurse recruitment then told the woman who answered my whole spiel (new grad, recently licensed, attended event) and she said "okay we'll be in touch with you when positions open." Then I called back again a couple days later and the woman who answered gave me a number for someone who is more directly in charge of the new grad event stuff so I left her a message and she called me back a few days later. Super nice lady, just not with the best news.
