Hello.
I recently applied for a new grad position at NYP and I got an email saying my app is currently "being considered" for the new grad opportunity and they will "contact me within the next 2 weeks regarding next step/status etc".
Does that mean I have a chance to land an interview, or is it what everyone gets after they apply?
It was not a computer generated email.....but an email from an actual person......
Any feedbacks will be greatly appreciated! Thank you :)
Hi--the event was helpful at Cornell. We went around and got to speak with the managers of units who have open positions. Make sure you bring enough copies of your resume and references--I handed mine out as I went.
There wasn't a lot of time for the managers to ask you questions, but I did notice that each had a list of attendees and marked next to some names that the person was very interested, may be a good fit, etc. This seems like perhaps if you made a good impression, you will have a chance to keep moving forward with the unit. I haven't personally heard anything since the event at the end of last week though--maybe others have?
Best of luck to those of you who are trying to get hired!
Just an FYI maybe it will help someone find a job. I am an experienced RN, for about 18 years now. Had a real tough time getting back into ANY hospital. Finally landed a job at New York HOsptial of Queens. It is part of the New York Presbyterian health care system. They DO hire new grads, I was on orientation with a few new grads with NO hospital experience. So far, nice hospital to work for. Nurses know their stuff here!
