Nybon Nursing School Under Investigation

I finished my LPN-RN program from Carleen Health Institute. I took the NCLEX under New York state board and passed the exam. I'd been waiting on the license a couple of weeks and decided to call NYbon, was told the school is under review - hence they would not be issuing any licenses till the review is done. They also wouldn't give a time frame. Does anyone have any idea how long these reviews usually take or what could be done in situations like this?

@londonflo

what are you talking about burned by a lawyer. I would have to be in you situation to have experienced something of that magnitude. You shouldn't assume.

I am going off of information I have gathered from others in your situation ( real life). Also please read correctly before you assume.

Don't attack me because I said something truthful, attack the board im not the bad guy.

Out of curiosity did anyone from this thread attended the traditional 2 year nursing program with any of the schools under investigation? Or was everyone in the bridge program for Lpn to RN?

I really wanna know if anybody has heard from ny BON concerning their status. I'm talking about those that passed their boards but wasn't issued a license yet. Have they reached out to you?

No you won't take NCLEX if you've already passed they gonna hold on to your results till u complete your education from an approved school then they'll issue u a license

@Apple19 I think you've answered your own question here.

@Apple19 was this told to u directly from the board?

Yes this is directly from the board. They told me the same thing. My school isn't on the list but under review. They said I can wait until review is over or get another education and submit. I think they are pretty much trying to give you a head start and saying that educations from certain schools will no longer be accepted because they do not meet NYBON requirements. You can call 5 days a week now. It's no longer Tuesdays and Thursdays. Every state is handling it differently. Florida for instance with allow you to take the boards again since NY has NCLEX results on hold. That's if your school wasn't on any list.

But why not ask ny to send your passing report fl?

Bc NYS BON isn't going to do that.. the way it's looking ultimately those who passed NCLEX who went to one of the schools on Federal list will have score wiped out and will have to go to a new nursing school and take NCLEX over. Especially those who surrendered their license

But im talking about the ones whose schools werent on the list

No I'm asking if they've sent an email or mail regarding that. I was told when I called ny BON but I'm trynna if they ever officially communicated through mail/email.

No there was never any official communication. Any information I received was by inquiring myself.

Quick question Star2022. What about those that passed NCLEX but school wasn't on the fed  list but still under review. Any updates on what NYBON is going to do with those individuals?
