I am not sure why NYS won't take it. From what I gather from Herzing University, is that for the online nursing program nursing program/curriculum doesn't meet the requirements for NYS residents. with that being said typically classes/curriculum taken online mirror what is taken in person on campus. and that may be why NYS is not taking the education from Herzing University

All of herzing university campuses are under review for another reason.

So no .when we say present day we mean at the time frame we are processing your application. for example if we were to look at your schools accreditation status today 4/24/24 and the school is not listed as accredited it will be put on hold... But that can be just one of the reasons NYS BON has the school on hold

as far as the Accreditation status yes we look at only present day status of the school. the reason for that, is that when a school is going through the Accredidation renewal process( audit), documents test scores, and what ever else they look at are from years prior so if thing are off then that how a college can loose an accredidation

SO new york BON has an in house list that the Nursing processing unit it using so it won't be available to the general public

So unless you work for NYS BON how do you know what they are or are not doing ... Simply amazes me how people are so concerned with what's going on with others. But I digress. This aggression and frustration should be directed to the schools y'all gave money to not the boards who are finding fault with these schools Best of luck to all

Like I have stated before NYS BON has three lists they are utilizing when it comes to Florida schools The list of Florida schools deemed fraudulent and federal being investigated. anyone who has not surrendered license but tried to renew won't be able to renew or get renewal fee back Second list Schools from florida that NYS BON personally has under review which only affects those trying to get a license after the school was put under review . Anyone who went to those certain schools and got a license before the school went under review are not affected by this decision . the hold is only for new test takers/ new people trying to get a NYS license Third list schools from Florida not listed as of present day accredited. So those whose school is accepted (state only) probation or closed are on hold from being able to test /get a score report or a license. Hopefully the breakdown of lists helps people better understand the order of things NYS BON has going on

Anyone who went to what has been deemed a fraudulent school had to surrender their license those who didn't. When it came to renewal would not get renewed or fee back from renewal and will be put on a list that won't allow them to be a nurse in any state. As well their employer asks them their school and should known to take them off the schedule.( That's not NYS BON issue) The schools that are still being reviewed it's going to take time...period end of discussion. Most of the people only used nys to test didn't plan to work in nys should have originally tested in the state they wanted to work in to avoid other state's stipulations.

That's ultimately would be the ideal plan for those Florida schools that are just on hold due to the lack of accreditation

I love how people blame NYS BON for they issues their Florida nursing school caused by not following the rules and regulations to keep their national accreditation status
