I finished my LPN-RN program from Carleen Health Institute. I took the NCLEX under New York state board and passed the exam. I'd been waiting on the license a couple of weeks and decided to call NYbon, was told the school is under review - hence they would not be issuing any licenses till the review is done. They also wouldn't give a time frame. Does anyone have any idea how long these reviews usually take or what could be done in situations like this?

Called NYBON and spoke with someone from the unit handling the reviews.

There are hundreds of nurses with active licenses from these schools that they are concentrating on first with over 2000 applicants from the alleged fraudulent programs so will take time to contact all applicants.

@Lpn.N.Y and others. This is not regarding to schools on list for fraud. This is for schools on hold. Florida will allow u to take your exam over. Other states will not. Other states decide what they want to do ( some have no tolerance). Schools that where found fraud. Will have to go back to school and retake exam. Ny is the only state giving a chance to prove your case with legitimate proof which some people are using to there advantage and getting lawyer that will only mislead them and take there money. Some use this to by time. Once NY ends the time period they will be red flagged for the future when submitting an application. If you legitimately went to school and did clinicals and class room time in florida and have proof, then I say fight your case. This whole thing has put a bad taste in so.many peoples mouth because of untrustworthy people. Some jobs have let so many nurses go but people aren't talking publicly
