Nybon Nursing School Under Investigation

I finished my LPN-RN program from Carleen Health Institute. I took the NCLEX under New York state board and passed the exam. I'd been waiting on the license a couple of weeks and decided to call NYbon, was told the school is under review - hence they would not be issuing any licenses till the review is done. They also wouldn't give a time frame. Does anyone have any idea how long these reviews usually take or what could be done in situations like this?

NSO insurance professional liability.

Will the state allow a teach-out agreement with a college. For students who would like to transfer or students who are missing some classes.

With so many students affected I'm thinking (praying) that Florida at least offers a program of this sort.

I use this company as well for but out of curiosity how would they be able to assist if we decide to seek legal counsel?

First get yourself a lawyer. Tell them you have NSO insurance. They will know what to do. I don't think you have to do anything besides provide them the policy.

I called NSO, they said you still have to get yourself a lawyer but they help cover the other portions of the matter.
The insurance is portable as well. If you work in a different state than your multistate license it's fine.

Yes. They cover around 25000 according to policy.

And we only have to paid one time annual fees for small amount. To me it worth it.

Not bad at all thanks for this advice

Regarding NSO insurance, this is how it work. If you received letter from DOH. Write down the case number and submitted to your NSO insurance. Remember, you can only submitted twice a year for reimbursement. Save all your bill and submitted all at one For example, your lawyer bill you. Pay your lawyer out of your pocket and wait until your bill add up and submitted to NSO. You can only do it twice a year. So use it timely. They will paid up to 25000 a year. You may not be  able to renew your NSO but you still get cover until your case close up to 25000. If your case get dismissed. You will be able to renew them.

It's the best $120.00/year spent for defense of my nursing license, thankfully not needed yet in my lengthy career.

I don't know about the insurance question but I do know she should make sure her license is in order so that if that is an option she will be able to get the insurance. She should definitely contact NYS BON to make sure she has some leeway on either her surrendering license or have education sent in
