NVCC Spring 2018 Hybrid Program

Published

Hey all! Starting a thread for those applying to NVCC (Northern Virginia Com Coll) for the spring nursing program! This is my second time applying - tried for last Spring but didn't make it - my grades are a mix of mostly B's and some A's and I got 87.5, 80 and 90 on my TEAS sections. I really wish they'd let us use LORs or at least consider work experience. And I'm so glad they raised the TEAS requirements back to 78 - I heard that threw everything off for last year and that's why so many people applied. I also heard that they are accepting more people overall this year, so fingers crossed!!!

May the odds be ever in our favor

I have my fingers crossed for email by close of business today

Hahaha, same! Refreshing like mad!! I believe they close at 5 today, so a couple more hours, there's a chance! Can't wait another weekend I'm really hoping today's the day!

I've hit the refresh button more times than I care to admit today í ½í¸¬

Does anyone else have a mini anxiety attack waiting for the page to load?

Exactly that hahaha. I've been checking my email obsessively since I turned in my application but now that the day is close I can't help but check every hour.....at least loool

Ugh doesn't look like anything is coming today.

At this point I just want to knowwwww

Stop doing this to yourselves guys... Just get about something else. They can send emails even after 6pm. Sometimes the emails come in batches. We already know how bad the situation is. I think we should all actually join heads together talk about alternatives. I keep applying to NVCC because I don't see the sense in getting the degree for $40,000 or more. But I know that it may get to a time and I'll have to make the sacrifice.

Did they have a high science GPA?

I know someone who got in the fall of this year w a score in the 60s

Did they have a high science GPA?

I don't think so. The person deleted the post when others started crying out in disbelief. Dont understand why. I think the school should try to get more clinical spaces so they can take more students. It's not like we can just get up and go somewhere else to apply without being hit with domicile issues.

Can't help it. This is my third time applying. Last time, they told me my Chemistry was too old, so I retook Chem. I'm getting too old for this crap and unfortunately it doesn't look like EMTs and Paramedics are getting a pay raise anytime soon.
