Hello , Everyone I'm a third semester student at Northern Virginia Community College and I know this is a bit early to be inquiring about nursing school but I just would like to get a head start on getting to know everyone interested in applying! I'm excited for the upcoming semester! i have some ice breakers to get this conversation started as well. Has anyone taken the TEAS test yet and if so how was your experience? and also do you have any remaining classes to take before applying.

I think you should be fine as along as it’s in process, that’s why I said just do it now

This wasn’t directed to me but I think if the check did affect eligibility and it wasn’t in process by the time they reviewed the app for requirements, it wouldn’t be eligible for ranking. Did you get an email saying it’s missing anything?

No, my application went on to the next round to be ranked.

Do you know if having corequisites happen to count towards their point system as well?... And if they count all TEAS attempts?

Also, did anyone notice the top of their TEAS report?? Because mine says "RETAKE 4", and I've definitely never taken the teas before. I'm not sure if that's standard or if that should concern me.

Yes I say that and was shocked! I was saying to myself this is my first time why is this 4 here?

Yeah I thought it was weird they wanted a background check before even being provisionally accepted. I had never seen that before. I wonder why they change their requirements so often

Exactly! I noticed that the TEAs requirements are about to be changed too.

Lol I wish! I was just giving a heads up that they finished checking for eligibility.

Does anyone know if the requirements of the tea for each section will be changed or the number of times allowed to retake it?

They haven’t mentioned anything yet ?

I think they’re waiting to see what the fall cohort looks like. If they have generally higher scores for the accepted students, I wouldn’t be surprised if they raise them a little. Trying to find a sweet spot

does anyone know the cost of the tuition ?

If you have no prerequisites the entire program tuition is $12529. That’s 67 credit hours at $187 each. If you have your prerequisites all done that’s $9911. The Information sessions are taken off the website while they update them but if I recall it’s another $1500-2000 for books, uniforms, extra nursing program expenses off the top of my head.
