Hello , Everyone I'm a third semester student at Northern Virginia Community College and I know this is a bit early to be inquiring about nursing school but I just would like to get a head start on getting to know everyone interested in applying! I'm excited for the upcoming semester! i have some ice breakers to get this conversation started as well. Has anyone taken the TEAS test yet and if so how was your experience? and also do you have any remaining classes to take before applying.

Thank you so much<3

Thank you so much. Its 9 thousand for the entire 2 years or per year ?

It’s about $2500 a semester ($2431-$2618), so $10000 total for the whole program. It’ll be less if you have non-nursing classes already taken. That price is for the 13-14 credit standard curriculum. But if you have all 3 lab sciences, your elective and communications class done then it’s $550-750 less for each class you have already taken. If you are only taking the nursing classes left than it’s $7300 total for the whole program.

Been checking my email like crazy ?..just ready to find out lol

Same, but we probably won’t hear anything until late next week or the following week

I saw on the Facebook page someone said 350 people applied this cycle not sure how true this is..but I just wish they gave us a number on how many seats

I saw that too, wasn’t sure if she was referring to the number of applicants overall or the number of eligible applicants

I hope they take at least 200 then I feel I’ll have a chance ?

Do you mind sharing gpa and teas test scores? That’s what I’m hoping for too.

You guys are back! The group was so silent. Thanks for answering my tuition question. How many applicants they took last year? Anyone knows?

130 slots last year, someone said 150 this year when they called. I can’t remember it’s buried somewhere in this thread.

3.5 but I have a B in 141 but A in 142, 76 overall 83 reading. I’m mad cause I was 1 point away from advanced (77-90) and took it twice and got the same score ?..but hopefully they looked at my other classes because I’m a CMA and have my associates

When I spoke to an individual at the dept, he said they had about 153 apps already sent up to the depart. This was around the time I got my rejection email. When I went to the MEC counselors office 20 min later to discuss my situation, he said they had over 350 ish applications submitted, and still had 100 more left to go through at that time. So I hope they will have more than 150 slots. For the Spring cohort, it will be even more competitive because those rejected apps will basically roll over.I was told that new apps will be able to sign in and submit with updated TEAS results. I hope they hurry up and send out decisions so they can put up the new TEAS info.
