I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

If this is true at least we are thankful that for ROW it did not retrogress that much.
It's a sad news :cry:though it's not yet official.But yes you're right we should still be thankful that it only retrogressed for a yr.Hope our moment comes very soon. I am glad that most us are still positive about it, well yes if others waited for 3 or 4 yrs,and most of us are already close to 3 yrs waiting so maybe we should cheer up..hehehe..soon we'll be typing here, finally I have my visa..Merry Christmas everyone..Congratulations to those with pds before jan 2005..God bless us all
what do you think is our luck? am I still gonna persue my plans to work in other country? I was planning to work in other country while waiting for my US interview. but what really concerns me is that my pd might be current and im still in the other country. I have a 1 yr contract to be finished before i can go back to p.i. what do u think?my pd is march 2006, will it take a yr before my pd will be current so i can continue to process my other plan abroad?
hi nurseako...official oct vb is out and yes mumbai again is right. Piece of advice in what you are in now coz i've been caught into that sit too last march yet I chose to stay(a week before my flight to singapore)..ummm with what the vb has been for the past 7 mos..sometimes I wanted to go back and wished that I would have took the risk..hehehe..so it's really up to you..you mentioned that you have only a year contract so for me that would be safe..
For now, I'm a bystander..hehehe..I resigned from work last march.I've been applying for work locally but I can't find one..(you know the sit,pay for it..hehehe)..so I decided to take the IELTS and again apply for another country.
I guess I'm not alone with this dilemma..hehehe..I am really frustrated too but sometimes let's think also of those ahead of us, those with earlier pds..They've waited long too,longer actually than we do..so let's just pray that He'll guide us in everything we do.

hi dew thanks.... I am really also in this big problem. I really cant decide at this time. what I mean its a big risk for me to start a new life in a small time abroad or just to stay here in manila and wait while working and having experience in a big tertiary hosp.

All the what ifs in the world.... I can't even make a plan beyond six months coz VB just might change...! such is the life of a retrogressed nurse hahahahah I wonder if it will change/improve next month?

Do not expect it to move forward. The number of applicants from the Philippines is far exceeding the number of visas that are available per year, so the chances are going to get slimmer for most to be able to get the green card.
It is election time here in November so do not expect to see any real changes being made. The October Bulletin is the start of the new fiscal year, so if no visas are available then when they are newly released, that should be telling you something.
Best of luck to you, but you are looking at a wait. Even though you have a PD date of 2006, do you actually have approval on everything and just waiting for a visa number?

Hi, since your PD is about to be current and your already documentarily qualified... expect your next instructions on coming weeks starting on the month of Oct. You can contact NVC thru phone or by email for the status of your case...
