I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.
Here is my case details

I have a PD JUn 05 and i keep hearing there must have been something wrong with your file but if there has been nobody has told me
Many do not find out there has been issues with file until they ask. You have a PD of 2005 which is at least 12 months or just over and should have been in the US before retrogression started.
Hi 2 all! My 4 friends and I have the same PD August 2005, we are in the same agency. We have been waiting 4 so long but no light in the end of the tunnel yet, but we are still hoping and praying that someday we will be in the USA someday with our families. Our employer are assuring us that everythings ok with our papers but due 2 retrogression there are no visas available for us. Here in Bacolod City theres lots of nurses with PDs of 2005 in different agencies. We submitted already 3 DS230 since 2006 and already documentary qualified 4 the 3rd time.
now that the USA is facing a big crisis in their economy I dont think opening the SChedule A visa again would be the top priority for the House meeting in the remaining days of the House. The more important issues that they need to tackle is on how to boast the strangling economy of the US stocks and on how to make new plans/ strategy.
I dont believe the the Representative would open the issue on the HR*emergency nurssing....in the remainng days or lets say until the last day of the session on Sept 26 before they recess/adjourn for the campaign trail.

I doubt they will bring back Schedule A at the moment or even at all. There are a lot of things happening in the US with many USC either going into nurse training or returning to nursing due to the economical situation. Even if the 20,000 visas are OK'd then that will not make much of a dent in the thousands waiting. I also doubt much will happen now until after the elections
Hi guys! I always get this message when I inquire thru email...Let me know what you think..will I be getting an interview schedule soon? thanks in advance! :) PD Feb 2006
Dear Sir or Madam,
Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).
The applicant's name has been placed on the list of documentarily
qualified cases awaiting the availability of visa numbers under the
numerical limitations prescribed by statute. The designated
representative of this case (applicant, petitioner, or attorney) will be
notified of an appointment date as soon as the numbers have been
received. The applicant should NOT make any travel arrangements, sell
property, or give up employment until the US Embassy or Consulate
General has issued a visa.
An immigrant visa is usually valid for six months from the date it is
issued. It may be used to apply for admission into the United States any
time during its validity.
Regards,
National Visa Center

You must have had lots of things wrong with your file if your PD is 2004. You should have been in the US years ago
