I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.
Here is my case details
Category : EX Schedule A
USCIS receipt : April 2004
Processing Center : Vermont
I-140 approved : October 2004
NVC case number : MNL2004813XXX
NVC forwarded packet 3 : April 5, 2005
Packet 3 sent back to NVC : May 3, 2005
NVC case completed : May 16, 2005
Consular Interview : August 29, 2005
Visa received : ???
Date of entry in the US :???
GC receive : ????
I hope you can also post here your details interview experience.
God bless!
Just an FYI. Recently found out that NVC is still sending visa fee bills up to now and since they have not changed their auto-message yet that processing stops then it can be concluded that they are still accepting ds-230 forms with the barcode up to now and still processing it. Of course, everything stops from there.
to silverdragon,Thanks for the info:bow:

to anybody,
I have recently received a letter fr my lawyer that our docs are already certified complete, is it the same as documentarily qualified?
:crying2:
If you trust your lawyer, then yes but why not make an inquiry to NVC directly to confirm it ? There have been instances that lawyers mistook one client from another.
You can e-mail them at [email protected]. or phone them just like everyone is doing.

thank you very much:saint::saint:
it seems that what the latest vb meant was worldwide eb3, not only mexico.
according to atty. ron gotcher:
this is what i got back in response to my inquiry:
quote:
yes i probably should have said worldwide employment third. my primary concern at this point is with the china e3 cut-off date which has an extremely large amount of demand.
my earlier understanding was clearly wrong. he was referring to worldwide third preference. this clarification also expresses concern that china e3 has very large demand. this, in turn, means that china e3 is not likely to move forward very quickly due to heavy demand.

I have read that too yesterday and it's a bit upsetting..well, lets not be that bothered, lets just take the quote from the sept vb "A formal decision determination of the October cut-off dates will not be possible until early September." and a lot of prayers. God bless us all.
This has not changed, the new fiscal year does not start until October 1 of this year. There are no visas until new ones come out with the new fiscal year. It is not anything about bad news or anything else, if you go back and look at the VB from several months ago you will find that it was stated back then that everything was going on hold until the new fiscal year started and that would be October. No changes have been made to anything since then, and this fact has been very well published by the State Dept that overseas visas as well.
That is why it has been stated over and over again that nothing will be moving until the October VB that comes out in another month.
Those from Mexico are actually covered under the NAFTA TN Visa just like the Canadian citizens are as well. One can get a visa to work in the US if they hold Mexican citizenship and without affect by the retrogression, but this is not the same as the green card and needs to be renewed. Requirements such as having passed the NCLEX exam, English exams as well as the VSC are needed to be able to get the visa, along with a written job offer. Much has been written on this topic as well.
Hi Hoping for answers to my questions from silverdragon/lawrence and Suzzane:
My friend called up NVC to inquire her status. The automated voice response system said her case was completed last july31, 2008. Please allow 8 weeks so and so...
The question is:
--> What do the NVC means with that 8 weeks? will the count down starts from the date her case was completed ( JUly 31, 2008) or from the time her PD will become current?
As of now no visas are available, so is that 8 weeks waiting time starts from the date her case was completed still applicable? or she may start counting 8 weeks from the time her PD becomes current?
Her PD is July 18, 2005. Hopefully it will be current this coming OCt Visa Bulletin.
Thank you

- i hope i can answer your question, usually it starts from the date that they declared your case completed... and it really takes almost 8 weeks. Then after you recieve the next instructions, in my case, i waited again for another 1 1/5 months for the appointment date, i think in your case, it will take around 1-2months. within that, you should complete all the requirements [medical] a week before the appointment date.
i think the count will start on the date w/c your PD is current. Since no one knows what exactly the PD's that will be current on this coming Oct VB. So, if your lucky enough that your PD will be current on this coming Oct VB, expect your appointment date be on Jan or Feb 09. And pray that your PD is still current on that month or else you will end up waiting for another fiscal year...:wink2:
That phrase "wait for 8 weeks...." is just an auto-response. Majority already have their files documentariliy qualified for months now and the auto-response they keep getting is still the same and majority here also were documentariloy qualified for at least 2 or 3 x already for the last year or so as they were constantly being asked to update their DS-230s and keep repeating the cycle everytime the file gets frozen in the NVC for a certain amount of time.
Unless, retrogression gets lifted and your PD is current and a visa number allocated to you that file will remain in the NVC and they may or may not ask for you to re-submit your DS-230 forms again for updating if it's been too long since the last update.
As Lawrence states may have to resubmit documentation again but with a PD of 2005 and even before the visas ran out processing was early 2006 indicates to me that your friend has had some issues with their application.
Until VB comes out next month for Oct no one knows what will happen but at least your friend knows their file is complete so can move forward at some stage

I know what you are saying but it will still help shorten the line of those waiting, and those of us who are documentarily qualified will get visas if this bill is passed. We are just be hopeful that something gets passed before election.
