I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.
Here is my case details
Category : EX Schedule A
USCIS receipt : April 2004
Processing Center : Vermont
I-140 approved : October 2004
NVC case number : MNL2004813XXX
NVC forwarded packet 3 : April 5, 2005
Packet 3 sent back to NVC : May 3, 2005
NVC case completed : May 16, 2005
Consular Interview : August 29, 2005

God bless!

PD FEB06
to anyone:
hi im new to this site, i just want to ask regarding my case, my PD is august2006, last year when i check uscis they told me that my case was transfered already to nvc for visa processing.i check nvc for my case and they've given me a case number MNL2007XXXX.i want to know if whats the next step already for me?because a year has past i dont know the status of my case, if im documentarily qualified already?i remembered last june2007 my agency in manila send me thru email the ds230 for me to be filled up as soon as possible, because they have to send that to the US. in just a bit confused right now because after reading some of my fellow nurses who are waiting for their visas also is that they know their status already if their case is complete or not!i try to send email to nvc but their reply is that they cannot disclose any info about my case and i should talk to my lawyer instead!i call my agency in manila and they told me that their is no problem and i am documentarily qualified!but still my mind is killing me!because i didnt even submit any nbi, birth cert etc. with the ds230!i submitted those docs a long time ago!
pls help!i dont know where im standing right now!ive been waiting for 2 years already and i dont know if my waiting is that worth for!:bluecry1:

Nothing will happen with NV until your PD is being processed. Currently no visas so bulletin will not change now until the next one is out mid Sept for Oct date and no one knows at the moment where it will be but was mention in a previous bulletin of early 2006. Not sure why your agency is saying your documentary qualified if you haven't submitted any paperwork. That will not be asked for until PD is being processed. Any DS230 you completed will more than likely have to be resubmitted from seeing what others have posted
Any one can help me. We recently receiver email fr our atty that we are already or our documents were already certified complete by the NVC. Is it the same as documentarily qualified? What are the odds that we will be interviewed this year? given that we are fr the Philippines, Documents certified complete by the NVC and with a PD of May 2006:confused::confused:

Very hard to predict, will depend on visa bulletin that comes out middle next month for October and what PD they are processing
Well, from what I've seen before, our pd has to be current until we have our interview, at least 3-4 months maybe. Although I know some people who were current last june but were not given visas. Only God knows what will happen....but i'm optimistic.:wink2: There is also a "recapture bill"for nurses pending in congress and I hope they will act on it, together with the senate so that it gets passed and becomes a law before the election...
The House and Senate have a one month vacation, then return for a few weeks and then are out on the campaign trail. You are not going to see much done before the election; especially with something like this.
Even if it does go thru, it is not instantaneous that visas will be ready the next day, it takes months before they are. And then depends on how many are waiting with PD dates before you as well. 20,000 is just a drop in the bucket as far as the numbers that are actually waiting and with completed files. And that 20,000 would be for an entire year, not just given out all at once either in most instances.
Wait and see what will happen with the October Visa Bulletin, nothing is going to be done before then.
Best of luck to all of you that are waiting.
hello to everyone ...once in a while I get curious and try to check NVC automated response and was quite surprise to note that message still have not changed despite unavailable visa...it still says "WAIT FOR 8 WEEKS....blah blah....I have been through retro several times and each time visa becomes unavailable ..message usually change at once.
Could this be a good sign ? I hope so...hope the oct visa bulletin brings good news for us waiting especially those who are already documentarily qualified. LETS PRAY HARD.........AND MAY GOOD LUCK SHINE UPON US....:wink2:
There is a difference right now and that is that the US is out of visas for this fiscal year and they are to start again with October 1, so there is no reason for them to spend the time to go thru every single account and update it since this information has been published by them all over the world.

From my opinion only.. I think that is a good sign. I've been caught by retro 2x already and everytime the visas become unavailable, the AVR quickly changes to " this case in not eligible for further processing..... blah blah". Based also from the June VB, comes the first month of the new FY, visas will be available again to those with PD's until March 06. With these words from the VB, I think the status of most of us here at the NVC AVR who are deemed documentarily qualified did not changed because visas will be available for us comes the new FY. JUST A POSITIVE THOUGHTS MY FRIENDS........!

Thanks for the positive thought somehow it lightens up my spirit ...that the end of the tunnel may be bright though it may still be a dream...I have high hopes that in the next few months it will become a reality..
