NVC -CP- GC Tracker

Published

I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.

The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.

Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!

The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

Here is my case details

just sharing the news suzanne just to lift the spirits of some of us still waiting. atleast we have hope. even as what you say slim to numb. Don't be pesimist just be optimistic that some how something will happen.

PD FEB 06

- from Dept of State, September Visa Bulletin

D. VISA AVAILABILITY FOR OCTOBER

The Mexico F2A and Employment Third preference cut-off dates are "unavailable" for both August and September, since those FY-2008 annual limits have been reached. The Visa Office had originally anticipated that this would be a temporary situation. Then with the start of the new fiscal year in October the cut-off dates would have returned to those which had applied during June. However, continued heavy demand in those categories may require the establishment of cut-off dates which are earlier than those which had applied in June. A formal decision determination of the October cut-off dates will not be possible until early September.

As expected, March 2006 PD on Oct VB is not possible, the question is how long it will retrogress?

"The Mexico F2A and Employment Third preference cut-off dates are “unavailable” for both August and September"- From my understanding, doesn't this pertain to Mexico only? Even the Atty.Ron Gotcher says that it's Mexico only. Well, we just have to wait till mid september....

Hi Dot ph,

I do appreciate what you had posted. But, on my own interpretation SECTION D of the Sept Visa Bulletin was intended for Mexican applicants only.

Anyway, let us all wait for the October bulletin.... and I am hoping that the Visa Office will stick to what they have earlier posted regarding the visa comeout .

According to Atty. Ron Gotcher:

"I haven't spoken to anyone specifically about this, but I think that the plain reading of the language makes it clear that this only applies to Mexico. If they had intended a broader reading, they would have written "Mexico F2A and Worldwide Third Employment Based preference." They didn't"

I hope and pray there is still good news when Oct VB comes out.

hi, my pd is nov2005, and yes, i'm already documentarily qualified. I submitted all the necessary docs again last march2008, but unfortunately, still stuck like most of you guys here. There were people who were interviewed last june but weren't given visas yet. Hopefully, we can make it and the Oct VB will bring good news....

Well, from what I've seen before, our pd has to be current until we have our interview, at least 3-4 months maybe. Although I know some people who were current last june but were not given visas. Only God knows what will happen....but i'm optimistic.:wink2: There is also a "recapture bill"for nurses pending in congress and I hope they will act on it, together with the senate so that it gets passed and becomes a law before the election...
